Default Governors losing management skills over time

I've noticed this with every single character, who started with some management skills as a governor, ends up losing all of it but gaining some influence over time. I would think that if your charcter kept the city growing, healthy and properous the management abilities would increase. But I have yet to see that happen. Am I missing something?

that's the problem.. to keep him good you have to move him a bit every turn, so he doesn't end the turn in a city with FULL movement point. -> he won't take many negative traits.

But it's not all: when a building is going to be finished in the next turn you should keep him in the city with full movement points, so he can take traits like "builder" etc

Really??? So every turn, except turns when I am completing a building project, I have to go to every city and take the Gov out for a stroll. Man, that is so lame. It's akin to having to walk the dog three times-a-day. You'd think with everything else one has to do to micro-manage this game, that the last thing you would need to do is walk-the-Gov! I mean..., really.

it also depends on how muh money you have. the bigger your treasury is, the more incompetent your governors become.

I have not heard of the movement idea, however the money 1 i have. From what i heard of the too much money problem is, if you end turns with above 50k your governors become corrupt. So me, i waste it on anything i can, bribing rebels, getting mercs then disbanding them, anything. -Leon

if you keep your taxes to very high level then they wont loose the management. but if you use normal or low tax then he will lose couple of management points.

My expereince is just the opposite. In cities where taxes are kept VH, they all loose their management scrolls. But in cities where I keep it Low because there is no population or because the unrest will not allow a higher tax setting, the governors seem to keep their management scrolls longer.

I've looked on this forum and the README, is there like a players guide for this mod because there seem to be many undocumented quirks that common sense does not seem to prevail? The last time I walked the Gov he got himself ambushed, which was just as well becasue he was lousy anyway. Maybe it's just better to do without them in this mod and let cities go it on their own. After a short period of time these governors become worthless as managers (and even as generals unless they are fighting battles.)

    I agree with Mandar...
In Greece, when I seized it, (it is well known that greeks are freedom-loved people in RTW, and because I have to settle low taxes or very low ones), all my govers are gaining many influence points and loosing manage points with time. It is fact.... But in Italy all my govers are "clever" and all taxes there are high or very high....
