Rank Rotation
I've been trying to find a way to bring back rank rotation for a few roman units, but without success. I have tried to use one of the a_mp_test values and I've copied a line from another mod which enables rank rotation ( but is outdated, hence I wanted to mod this myself ). Everything was pretty much identical to the older mod, in every relevant db entry (special abilities phases table, special ability to special ability phase junctions table, etc. )
So to sum it up more clearly, I've basically added a line to the special abilities (since I couldn't find rank rotation anywhere, not even in the data_rome2.pack ) and changed the values of a_mp_test2 accordingly, then I added a new line to the unit abilities for the Rom_Hastati ( just to see if it works ) and tried a custom battle, without success.
I am not sure if or why rank rotation was taken out, maybe I am a fool for trying to bring it back, but I simply love the idea of it
Would anyone help a fool?
EDIT: Ok, I've now come to the stage where I can see a new abilities icon for the Hastati units in custom battle, but it is not a passive (activate, deactivate) ability as it should be ( and as it was in the mod I used as a guidance ) it is an active button with a 60 second delay. This happens even though I went through the settings of the ability, i.e. the activation duration, etc. and didn't find any values being off... Furthermore, the ability is not rank rotation, it is "Infantry_charge_1" and every time I press the icon, the image of the icon changes.
Quick recap: I did set the a_mp_test2 to be for rank rotation, not infantry_charge_1 ( as it was prior to my changes ).

Re: Rank Rotation
abiliittes can have several different effects. I'm quite sure there is no Rank-Rotation animation in this game, so all you can do, is simulating it by giving unit some sort of a fatigue reduction.. easiest way is to make those units fatigue resistant, more accurate way would be creating a new ability which would do the fatigue reduction during combat (if even possible) otherwise, fatigue bonus would be received even during moving which should be tiresome to all ranks..
