delete lib_armycaps_main.lua and also lib_armycaps_objects.lua
All unit restrictions will be removed and ..... yea they will be removed.
just deleted lib_armycaps_main.lua and lib_armycaps_objects.lua..
the restrictions are still there
its alright i guess=/
i'll continue to play standard
I would like to know this aswell, I had used a general to recruit multiple archers to then send to the frontline armies who where no where near a proper region to recruit them
and now that I can use that general to build a proper army it cant recruit archers![]()
You can increase those numbers and it should work fine. Usually the unit card disappears rather than saying you can't recruit it. That sounds like a campaign cap rather than an army cap, are you using any other mods?
Hey I forgot you also need to go to
db > main_units_table
Go to each table and the 3rd column is a campaign cap ..... set all caps to 0 ........ for all tables ......... in custom battles the caps will still appear but in the campaign mode the caps will disappear
Sorry for the delay I was figuring out what I was missing ..... also this in addition to the first post I mentioned ...... if you have DeI installed from Steam you will have seven parts
You will have to do this step for all seven parts ....... one by one ...... post me if you still face any difficulties
Cheers!
Hope I solve your problem!
Are you using the one file mod that is downloadable or the steam version? The downloaded form is easier to modify with PFM because it is a single file. In the steam version you have to open all 1-7 parts and search all the tables in the main_units_table
Haysadan units are in Hel_units_table for what I think is arm_noble_spear is the representation.

"To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false, while to say of what is that it is, and of what is not that it is not, is true" ~ Aristotle
well the mods are using are attached in the photo below
i cant see any conflicts though=/
*edit*
Is it because of the early reform mod i have on?_@DEIEarlyPolybianReforms.zip
*edit 2*
wow it really is because of the early reform mod.

i just changed it to 0 and i can recruit my units as per normal now.

Yea, I purposefully put a cap on Hastati, Principes, and Triarii to represent how Camillian and Polybian Roman armies were pretty much half Roman/ half Allied Italians to force you to recruit the Allied Hastati, Aliied Principes, and Allied Pedites from the Auxilary Barracks. I'm pretty sure I stated this in the description in the twcenter thread and the Steam page. I would like to have done it for Marian and Imperial as well but my mod didn't focus on that time so I didn't.
Here's a little more information on the decision.
Edit: From 338 BC to 88 BC, Roman legions were invariably accompanied on campaign by roughly the same numbers of allied troops organised into two units called alae (literally: "wings", as allied troops would always be posted on the flanks of the Roman battle-line, with the Roman legions holding the centre). 75% of a normal consular army's cavalry was supplied by the Italian socii.
