I suggest that the replenishment for naval units should be the same as for land units. its about soldiers, make it at least when the navy is in port the replenishment is the same as the land units rate. because it makes no sense that they recruit (example values) 13 soldiers per turn docked, while my army soldiers have a rate of 45 per turn. on sea its okay that they have a high replenishrate (even though it would be better if it wouldnt be possible to replenish on open sea. If it is easily done by the devs do it like this (no commanding, just suggesting):
- on sea, naval units dont have replenishment
- docked, naval units have the normal replenishment for armies
my reasoning behind this is: i asked myself when i wanted to use my naval fleet to conquer a city "it takes ages for them to replenish, that sucks. i might just take an army. the fleets are more expensive anyway..." this mindset shouldnt exist!
- the naval units have less soldiers
- the naval units have a much higher upkeep (thats good, because of the ship they have to maintain, but that is no reason to cut the replenishment rate)
in fact, there is no reason at all to have a replenishment nerf for them.
also some soldiers in the naval units have no shield texture and look like mob units even though they are veteran legionaries. that must be fixed i guess.
