Cannot install any patches,CTD everytime

Torrented Med 2 and Kingdoms to play mods, not paying steam an extra 10$ for the expansion.

Every time I try to update it comes up with a little box saying "incorrect patch version,cannot continue with install"

I've look everywhere for a solution, I tried installing 1.01 even though 1.02 installs 1.1,
Kingdoms is updated to 1.5 with Deus Lo Vult but it has so many bugs and random crashes I can't play that either.
Same with crusader,Teutonic,and the rest.

Vanilla M2TW doesn't even start up it just CTD's every time I start the game.Is the vanilla game interfering with Kingdoms?and since I can't even update the vanilla I can't even tell.
Please help I have no idea what's wrong, if you need anymore info please just ask.

Wrong answer. Torrent copies are against CA/Sega/Steam EULAs if you wish a good read and against this site's Terms of Service under Illegal Activities to post this.
