No enemies in the Battlefield
Hello everyone
After a while I decided to try this Mod in a New Game.. Heard a lot of positive comments that hyped me a lot
So, before I explain my situation I would like to thank the Devs, for all the hard work put into this huge mod
You da real MVP (?
..
Sadly, I can't enjoy it,
, searched in the web, and didn't find anything like that, so it seems it's happening to me alone :S
I started a game as Athens, and after a few turns, I decided to Join Sparta in the War against Epirus. My first movement was of course to take the City Larissa.
Started the Battle anxious to see all the changes..
But something went really wrong, my troops started from The City, facing the Open Fields of the Outskirts, even my Reinforcements came from the city I was trying to siege (The city was actually off the Limits of the Battle zone) O.o
But what was even more stunning was that there were not a single enemy in the map.
It seems the battle started, but just with myself, unable to reach the city, since it was out of the Battle Zone, but with no enemies in the Battlefield either..
I don't know what to do.
Do you guys have any ideas?,
Thanks in advance

Re: No enemies in the Battlefield
You might want to verify your game cache in Steam (or possibly reinstall Rome 2).
Which version of the mod are you using? If Steam, make sure you have all 7 parts and they are all active.

And something else, is it normal that Loading the Campaign map take a long time. I mean, I know every TW game has long Loading times, but with this mod is huge.
Almost 5 minutes.
Loading Battles no more than 30 seconds, but loading the Campaign Map, takes forever :/
Is it normal, or again, is just me ? (?

Woah, that was fast, thanks Dresden.
Already verified the game. :S
I downloaded the Mediafire version of the Mod; I never liked how the Suscribe system works for the Workshop. So everytime I can avoid using it I do
I activated it with the Mod Manager.
.
New info, reloaded the game, and just let the turns past, finally Epirus decided to break my siege, the battle started, again, myself starting from the City side, but this time the enemy units spawned, and I had a bloody battle in my hands.
Nonetheless, the enemy units started to come out from the Woods, outside of the Battle zone. Maybe that's the reason why I could not see them while attacking. They were waiting for me there. =/
Will try with another cities, and comment

Re: No enemies in the Battlefield
It is normal unfortunately. We have a massive amount of script changes. One reason is we have extra scripting to make the new unit upgrades save compatible.
Hopefully some of this will be addressed in our 1.0 version that will be looking at making the mod more efficient. Unfortunately it won't be save compatible for this reason.

Re: No enemies in the Battlefield
Everything seems to be working fine now, I really don't know what happened.
Still, Im a bit confused about the mechanics of the battle, Im really getting deppresed (?
I confronted an enemy Army, a huge one, with 2 armies of my own, full of hoplites, mercenaries, just in case, the Battle was completely in my favor, 70 % chances of victory;
Yet, I had to pause the battle and come here (?,
Im 100% stressed,
, the enemies won't route, I have 3 units surrounding one of them, and they wouldn't abandon the field, and suddenly when Victory seemed clear, the enemy elephants were routing, my Soldiers started to Run Away, even the general!!,
Clearly Im doing something wrong, but this is so different as it was before, are there any guides or comments to learn about Battles mechanics, cause, although epic, is frustrating, I was convinced victory was going to be mine, and now Im afraid of unpause the game =S

Re: No enemies in the Battlefield
First you should change battle difficulty to normal, DEI is really hard on anything higher than normal battle, so if you start a campaign on hard or higher you have to go to options and change battle settings. Also it's important to flank (rea

Re: No enemies in the Battlefield
5 mins loading time is insane, I think you need to check your drive. After the new update loading times are amazing around 10-20 seconds for a battle or a save.
