Default Guide to playing this mod

Here's a few pieces of advice when playing this mod.

    Logistics

Korean units cannot be recruited in Japan and Japanese units cannot be recruited by Korea.
Japanese units cannot be recruited in Korea and Korean units cannot be recruited by Japan.

As a result the player has to constantly resupply their armies when in another country, just like in real life.

    Korea

    • In Korea archery was practised by all sections of society and Korea developed longer range bows than Japan. As a result Korea can recruit archers with better range, marksmanship, and reload rates than the Japanese factions.
    • While Korea has better archers than Japan their soldiers are weaker in melee combat. They also have less moral, making them more likely to rout.
    • The main threat to Korea was the Jurchens in the north, which is why most of their military bases and best soldiers are located in the north of the country.
    • Due to the protection from the Ming Dynasty in China and over a century of peace in Korea the Korean army is currently very weak.

Trade between Korea and Japan was conducted solely through the So clan Tsushima island. This is why Korea only has one trade route with Japan.

What about making Korea recruit Auxiliary Japanese troops in Japan?
Koreans made good use of Japanese Auxiliary troops in Imjin war.
General Kim Choongsun (김충선), who later continued to serve until Byunja war is a good example.
