Hangover?
As the wise advised...Lets see its a XPSP2 pro fully updated on curently only available to me, HD, aka Maxtor of 80GB ...
Now on the HD there are curently 2 partition (boot & rest). Rest is 99% full, but defragmented and fully operational.
Boot partition however has around 50% left and sum work data on it and the problem. Its unbelievebly slow.
The problem is first showed up when i yesterday try to defrag (inconsistencies in work message said..go scan & fix the prob, offer me message solution, and aborted the defragmentation...)
So i scanned, and it do its magic thru 4 of 5 steps and then just hang........
and the second time...
and the third time.....
and the forth time...
So oooo wise ...advise me on this one, i need to get this back to full functioning, and i can't afford to lose this HD next 2 weeks...
thanks.

Re: Hangover?
Try cleaning some of the clutter on your second partition to see if that helps.

Re: Hangover?
Do a Windows XP built in desk check.
Go to my computers, right click one of your partitions, select properties, go to tools tab, and select check now.
Make sure you have both auto fix system errors and scan for bad sectors checked.
Do this on the other partition.
Also do as OTZ suggested and delete some stuff, or at least rearrange then a little!

Re: Hangover?
no rearranging is posible. Because whole partition isl in images greater then boot partition itself (eg. boot is 3GB, while rest is filled with 4,5GB images (*.img)).
No deletion is option neither. Its not mine material to decide.
..check now (with both options checked) is only giving me the option to schedule the scan after restart(due need to access the win protected files) which i try 5 times now and it hang on 4th step of 5.
so any other way i do this ...?
