DeI Effect on DLC

I cannot find an answer anywhere, so I'll ask: Does DEI affect the Caesar in Gaul and Hannibal DLC? If so, does it help or hinder the balance, as it is designed to mod the main campaign, not the mini-campaigns of the DLC. Someone might want to put the answer to this in the FAQ. I did not see it there or in the other obvious (?) places one might look.

DeI is compatible with those but not optimized for them, if that makes any sense.
