A funny thing happened on the way to the forum.
I have to post this thread out of old fartness. Rome 2 was, I think we can mostly agree, not what we expected. These kids have put in who knows how many personal hours to produce what is quickly becoming not a mod but a full blown polished original. They took an unfinished product and are serving up a work of art for nothing more then personal pride in a job well done and maybe a little pat on the back from forum pilgrims like myself, pilgrim coming from peregrin for stranger or foreigner, a word some may be familiar with from some of the units Rome has access to.
I personally would like to say how impressed I am with the project to date, I did a little modding when R2 first came out but lost interest when people became disrespectful and demanding. Due to their work I find myself enjoying R2 greatly, it is a whole new game. So I send you my thanks and look forward to 1.0 when YOU are ready.
