I was wondering if you were gonna add the counterweight Trebuchet since it was used since the 12th century before and during the time the first cannons came out.

Since this is the suggestion thread. May I suggest you give us a ETA on the campaign release
Doesn´t have to be exact but do you think its days, weeks or month?

My suggestion is to keep an eye open in the time frame of between a few months from now and the end of this year. That´s the best offer you´ll get

Wait what. Can we talk about this? I want to know.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Hahaha you know I just want to force one of you to learn how to script and do all the hard work so I can steal your knowledge?
Not to worry, I've actually already done that, I've got a very basic knowledge of how they work and thanks to the guy I pestered 24/7, DETrooper, there's now a tool that allows you to actually create cinematic intros.

I don't want to advertise my own mod, since it's a bit rude, but basically a guy called DETrooper and I have made two historical battles. One basic one, and one with a reinforcement script. So it is possible, and a Battle of Agincourt or Crecy could be pretty cool.

It sounds awesome. No doubt about that.

While those are iconic battles and will probably draw the attention of people, I'm concerned the mod/game itself won't be able to manage the crucial things that took place, specially how archery is a lacking mechanic in MKTW.

Why not? RoF and damage can be adjusted (with your input that one time, remember?). Also its perfectly possible for increased ground effect on unit stats, so whenever the unit steps on brown, muddy patches of land in the battlefield they get slower.

    Hi,

Could you guys include the Duchy of Flanders? It was quite a big Duchy during Medieval times. The Duchy was long time a vassal duchy of the French crown but has always fought for its independence. Its city's had a lot of privileges and it was very wealthy because of clothmaking (lace) and painting (Flemish Primitives). It would be nice to have it including the city's of Ieper, Bruges, Ghent and later Antwerp/Brussels. It could be allied with Brabant and/or England (for a while). In 1300 the Flemish fought against French troops and an army defeated the French army. Worth considering?

    Regards!

Hello. I've posted the same thing on the Campaign thread, but I noticed this one seems more adequate and it seems my previous post wasn't seen by any of the official developers. Basically I wanted to suggest adding Nitra/Nitrava (whatever you wanna call it) as an EMERGENT faction to the campaign. It would only occupy the region called Nitrahwa. I can provide some information if needed, such as character names, names for units or some kind of coat of arms/symbol of the faction. Seeing there is also Transylvania, I think it would be fair to add this one too, but if not, im totally okay with it. Also I would like to propose to change from "Magyar" separatists in Nitrahwa to West Slavic separatists. Yes, its a minor detail, but it hurts my eyes to see "Nitrians" labeled as Magyars . Thank you

    Supply Wagon

The supply wagon is a slow moving chariot unit with next to no combat strength. You can only have one per army.

    Supply Barrel
The supply barrel is a stationary barrel that is available to defenders in a siege battle. It functions similarly to a bastion onager, in that it can only be placed in specific parts of the walls.

    Refill Ammunition
This special ability refills 3 ammunition for all units within a 75m vicinity of the wagon or barrel. For the first 25 seconds, this ability reduces the movement speed of units within its range by 75%. At the end of these 25 seconds, the units regain 3 ammunition, and there is a 50 second recharge on the ability. It can only be used ten times.

    Compatibility
This mod is not compatible with Rise of Mordor or any mods that change special_ability_to_invalid_usage_flags_tables.
This units are not available in a campaign, since I don't know how campaign stuff works. Feel free to make them available in the campaign for your own mod.

    Download Links
If you download from Google Drive, move the mod to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Attila\data then launch Attila, tick the mod on and you're good to go.
If you download from Steam, then just launch Attila, tick the mod on and you're good to go.

Thanks to Enpremi and Taro for the idea.

Do you plan to add Turkic hordes that are friendly to their surroundings that just roam around?

The period was a time of migration and there were various Turkic tribes throughout Iran, Levant and of course Anatolia as well as in the Eurasian steppes.
In fact it would have been much better if Ottomans were a tribe(Kayı) that were loyal to Seljukids and were scripted to grow later.....
"Therefore I am not in favour of raising any dogmatic banner. On the contrary, we must try to help the dogmatists to clarify their propositions for themselves. Thus, communism, in particular, is a dogmatic abstraction; in which connection, however, I am not thinking of some imaginary and possible communism, but actually existing communism as taught by Cabet, Dézamy, Weitling, etc. This communism is itself only a special expression of the humanistic principle, an expression which is still infected by its antithesis – the private system. Hence the abolition of private property and communism are by no means identical, and it is not accidental but inevitable that communism has seen other socialist doctrines – such as those of Fourier, Proudhon, etc. – arising to confront it because it is itself only a special, one-sided realisation of the socialist principle."

Its a great idea. I got to dig in for cart model used in cinematics to replace the chariot.

The problem with Hordes in Attila, is that hordes tends to die incredibly quickly in the opening turns. AI Huns are an exception because there is a spawning script so the Huns would always have armies. Even hordes who are able to settle tend to have low survivability in Attila. The peaceful "roaming around" part is also tricky as well, since there is nothing that can restrict them to the Steppes and Middle East - there are always hordes frustratingly going for a Mediterranean cruise in unseaworthy transports and ended up starving themselves.

You'll have to edit the cart model itself, perhaps skeleton and animations. I've already tried. We'll probably do it on Rise of Mordor eventually.
