Great new patch, I was a bit disappointed though when I saw that Masaesyli is the only playable african tribe. I would be really happy if Masaesyli, garamantia and a eitheopean tribe were playable.
Perhaps they van be added in the future?

We do not currently have any plans for adding Garamantia. What is on our roadmap right now is the Kingdom of Saba and Persia. I've wanted to do a pure african faction for a long time though, so never say never!

Frankly it isn't 100% set in stone yet. Essentially, the idea behind adding Persia is as an interesting "what-if" scenario for those that want to restore the Persian Empire. Having to start as a satrapy would add an additional complexity to the early game, as we want to make this one of the most difficult factions to play.
In that case, if the Persian faction is going to be a what if Scenario wouldn't it be cool if as you developed your militairy tech the army would transform from from it's hellenic character to a more eastern almost like the older persian army, but more modern. If you understand what I mean...
We're throwing out the entire vanilla roster for the faction. It will have certain greek-style units (hoplites, pikemen etc.) but they will be very distinctly Persian in terms of visual look. They're also getting more iconic ones such as immortals, but we haven't yet worked out exactly how you'd gain access to such units. It will either be through special buildings, technologies or a reform.
