Default Possible fix for CTDs while loading for battle?

I noticed this in mod workshop, thread "Crashes and how to fix them" ( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ow-to-fix-them ):

    Battle crash, any unit
Q: The mod crashes while loading for battle regardless of what units or factions will be fighting in the battle.

A: Most likely there are multiple spaces in the 'data\unit_models\battle_models.modeldb' file when there should only be one or two spaces (this won't cause the mod to crash when loading, unlike a number or spelling error). Carefully checking the battle_models.modeldb file or the reverting to a backup is the only way to fix this.

Then I checked this file for Stainless Steel and I counted over 114 cases of at least three sequencial spaces. I checked the equivalent file of vanilla m2tw and I found none.
So I wonder: if Neymar had played in Brazil-Germany, could brazil_faction stand any chance?

EDIT: In that file I also notice this:
    Code:
    22 serialization::archive 3 0 0 0 0 1197 0 0
    10 mount_pony
    1.12 0 0 3 0 0
    52 unit_models/Mounts/Medium_Horse/mount_pony_lod0.mesh 121
    52 unit_models/Mounts/Medium_Horse/mount_pony_lod1.mesh 1225
    52 unit_models/Mounts/Medium_Horse/mount_pony_lod2.mesh 10000
    0 0 33 0 0
Isn't 31 the hardcoded limit for factions? Also, I see along with the other factions there are "normans" and "ireland". Is it intended?

Normans and Ireland entries are probably left overs from previous SS versions
there also loads of leftover textures files for Ireland as well.

I don't know if the number of texture variants in the BMMDB has any effect, was it 31+slave? dunno but there is also the merc texture variants which would add an additional entry aside the faction ones.

BTW is this a really documented problem?, cause as far as I know the original BMMDB is a mumbojumbo of wall of text with no spaces anywhere...but it can be "formatted" ie made human readable by adding spaces and line-breaks

If it is, which would be the proper format? when/where there should be 1 space or 2?

I have no experience with this file; It just happened to note these things while I was searching for something else. Additionally, I cannot reproduce on demand the bug I was referring to in order to test if this approach can actually help. That' s why I didn't post in Bug-Fixes thread; it's just a question for something that might fix a bug and I hope someone more experienced than me can answer

I am sure that the hardcore faction limit for Kingdoms is 31( Including slave/rebel) http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Hardcoded-List and I thought that this might have something to do with that entry

I 'll edit this post when I re-find a relevant post? tutorial? I had found which was documenting the double space limit for the human-readable edition of the file

well with SciTE could quickly remove all double and triple+ spaces as well as add spaces at every line break that was missing it...ran a custom battle and all good.
i've never had problem before either but well.

I've noticed also that some units have
    fs_test_shield 0
    16 ...
    While others have
    fs_test_shield 2
    16 ...

And others have no value at all
    fs_test_shield
    16 ...

No idea what those value do

    maybe this can help
