best media player

just wanted to take a survey on mp3 players

{or music player who cares for videos

}

i prefer winamp with dfx plugin

so which mp3 players u guys use ??

I used to use Winamp, but now I'm back to Windows Media Player... Mainly because of the nice skins it has.

Amarok is the best i'v used. a pitty it doesnt work under windows.
but a greater pitty/shame is that Total War doesnt work under linux ...

Yeah, I use VLC too, it's great

But for MP3 I just use winamp.

btw: I can't understand why people whink WMP looks good.
IMO WMP "classic" skin is already too big and in-your-face.
I like a minimalist look because it's all about the content anyways.

And the thing I hate most about WMP is that in full-screen mode the controls bar keeps popping up everytime my mouse moves and that's almost constant when I turn my sub-woover up.
Did it ever occur to Microsoft that some people just want to watch a DVD movie from start to end in full-screen mode without anything else on the screen?

I use WMP because I like the graphic equaliser and WOW effects it has, any other Media player got somethign similar?

i use Foobar2000, cause its light, i dont really care about how my music player looks, i just keep it minimized, plus, it only takes up 4 megabytes of memory, and for us users with 512mb ram, it doesnt impact performace at all when playing games

i downloaded the beta
now i can multitask and listen mp3 simultaneously.
winamp used to play music horribly while multitasking.
only one thing is disturbing
THEIR IS NO SORTING OUT by tracks option IN MEDIA LIBRARY

and are their any plugins ,skins,.
and why it is still beta

Mediamonkey, a mix with the best parts of Winamp and WMP without the cons of neither (performance etc).

itunes.

It might be a resource hog but it doesn't bother me as I don't often listen music with the computer when I'm doing work or playing. Also ipods require that software.
