Congratulations to the winners!!!
The 50th MAARC has come to an end and a new era has begun in AARistry. The contestants each have written with great skill and dedication. You the voters have decided who should be the considered best and brightest!!! And here they are: the winners of the MAARC L!!!
The coveted and long sought for FIRST PLACE prize is claimed by: Justinian Australis' The Last Pagan Emperor. This Rome AAR shows us why the first Rome Total War still hold appeal for many gamers and AARists today. Set in the 4th century read the exploits of Roman soldiers as they fight for the glory of Rome and for themselves in this turbulent and unpredictable period in Rome's history.
In the honored SECOND PLACE spot is: IneptCmdr's For King and Country. This AAR is no stranger to the winner circle and rightly so. Read this Empire AAR and see the English establish their dominance in the 18th century full of discovery and musket fire as they battle in the Americas, Spain and exotic India.
Now make some noise for our THIRD PLACE winner: Lugotorix's and his AAR The Pasture of Slaughter: Hannibal at the Gates AAR. Lugotrix once again dazzles us with a Rome 2 AAR. This intense AAR follows the struggles of the Roman Republic as they seek to make their mark on the world that is looking increasingly hostile.
