Default Dropping down from ultra unit sizes mid-game...

Having a really good DEI campaign as Rome, but I'm playing with ultra unit sizes and getting horrible stuttering during siege battles. Dropping down to medium there was no lag, large just a little. I was wondering if there would be any issue's with the mod if I dropped unit sizes to large mid game. I thought I read somewhere that this mod is centered around ultra unit sizes. Also, how can I recruit elephants? I have Carthage occupied with a level 3 center, but there are no elephants as units or mercenaries. Thx for any answers.

IMO it's impossible to drop down units size during campaign. I think you'll have to start a fresh one.
And DEI is working fine with any unit size, even medium one. Mouving units inside village/towns is a lot easier on medium.

Its just the games engine. Maybe patch 14 but with ultra unit sizes the game lags like crazy.

I think you need level 4 centre for AOR elephunks

you need level 3, but only lybia and phazinia have african elephants.

You could try lowering your graphics settings if you don't want to lose your current save or are unable to change unit size. Another issue may be patch 14-Beta if you are using it, until it releases officially problems could persist.
