i completly disliked the new feature with the units greying out so early when the camera closes up.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reverse it back to the old style , it almost ruins the close ups in the debug camera
MACEDONIA ETERNAL GREEK KINGDOM
14 patches and 9 months to fix the seige Ai and bring us the missing elephant animation, i wont feel sorry at all if CA never recover from this incompetence.
Do not let this twit team make another TW game!!!.
"illegitimi non carborundum"
TW RIP
Just had a nice battle on a full sized Rome.
Wow! What a nice surprise. The AI tore a breech in the wall using the two Ballista I gave it, and when that was done used the Ballista to open the gate up. After that, it exhausted the rest of its ammo on another section of wall.
Once that was done, the AI moved its 4 Large Siege Towers into position where I had my Auxiliary Syrian Archers located. It also started moving units into the city, and for some strange reason the Ballista were part of that.
Then as it tried getting all 4 of its archer units up the siege towers the stuttering started, but stopped once the archers were in their positions. It was a close victory on my part, only because of the amount of Preatorian Guards I gave myself. Other than that weird thing with the ballista, the AI did wonderfully.

Personally, as someone who enjoys taking screenshots, not having to deal with clipping now is a huge bonus.

Well it was just the fact that CA (including Lusted) insisted that the elephant anaimations were in the game and working when NO ONE else who actually bought the game had seen it- Not one person here or anywhere had seen this. it was like someone telling us that the Emperor was wearing wonderful new clothes when in fact he wasn`t wearing anything at all.
Hence, it became a joke whenever the elephant anim was mentioned.
This is the first time ANY ONE has seen it in action - beta patch 14, months later.
Makes anything they say a joke when this kind of thing happens.
I'm stuck at 90% on the Beta, anyone know how to fix this?
EDIT: It fixed its self. Now to test the hell out of this AI.

You say you wont buy Atilla but your only lying to your self.
Here is a video of the AI attacking a city in beta patch 14
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNLq...ature=youtu.be
8 siege towers + 1 ladders + 1 battleram = 10 sieges equipment !!!!!
So it shows nothing of the beta patch 14, sorry.
Two ladders, one tower and with or without a battleram. And you will see if there is improvement or not, and it looks like what happen on campaign map.
I don't have my gtx780 anymore (I bought a ps4 for destiny ....) but I will try to make video at low setting. I will test this patch and make videos so we could compare with my older videos.

Alright, so in my Pontus campaign I attacked a settlement.
The AI usually likes sitting there in the town square twiddling their thumbs. Not this time, no this time the entire army moved out to meet my troops. Very pleased with that.

*The AI seems to recruit more artillery as I've had a few battles against Liguria and they have had ballistas.
*The ballistas take part in the battle, they don't sit at map edge doing nothing (though it may be reinforcements that do that)
*I fought a settlement battle (Velathris? just north of Rome) I have fought on this particular settlement map probably over 50 times before and each time the AI did the exact same thing, ignored the capture plaza and sent their entire force the long way around where I could block them. This time they split their forces. the main body went the usual way, while a reasonable sized force stormed the plaza. I had to send 5 triarii and 3 skirmishers to defend the plaza.
The AI reinforcements split up some going to the main battle and some to the plaza.
While occupied with trying to flank the main battle, I ignored the Triarii as I knew they would hold their own. When I returned to them, I found they had been destroyed by ballista and skirmishers.
After the triarri were destroyed, the AI sent the remaining plaza units to attack the rear of my main force.
So it seems now we have to pay more attention to how a battle is unfolding rather than just plug the gap and watch the mosh pit.

LOL,the AI now does not even man the Large wall rams or the galleys in battles, they just sit at some arbitrary location out of the way.

alright couldn't get youtube embedding to work, but it's "Always Look on the Brightside of Life" from The Life of Brian.
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
