i dw cow 1.5 and installed english translate. menu is translated fine but faction overview and some in game things like settlement names are not. there are no letters in option menu too.

Yeah, your gonna want this install RoDG Gig's version it is already translated plus it has many fixes. Don't forget to istall the patches in the second post.

really? i'm gonna have to download all that again? it's really weird because half game is english and half is russian.

Yes you don't have the right version of the mod. Besides, even with the Gigantus version you still won't have the latest English patch for text and voices. Please follow my guide which explains in details how to install the most up to date English version of the mod. You'll find it here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ion-guide-here
Be sure to delete everything you installed before. It's a bit of work but the mod is worth it.

aw that sucks. i got it from piratebay and everyone in comments were saying how it works well.
