[TATW Divide and Conquer] Clans of Enedwaith - Hybrid Let's Play/Story AAR (Episode XVIII - 1/11 - COMPLETED)
Clans of Enedwaith
Hi!
I used to write AARs a long time ago. Like two or more years ago. I found a lot of the time I'd get through the first few chapters and then stop because the photo editing and the insanely long story writing would become more of a chore than a fun hobby. I'd also get frustrated with my failed campaigns/battles and would try to reload, and thus my constant reloading would eventually lead to me corrupting a save or overwriting a save I didn't mean too.
Thus, I came up with a solution. Gaming has always been a passion and I decided to do something worthwhile with it and begin uploading some of my stuff to youtube. I'm not exactly overly confident with myself yet. I consider myself to be a funny person...in person, and hopefully through my writing. Maybe not so much yet in my videos due to a lack of comedic things to work with as well as the constant worry that I'll offend someone.
Through uploading an AAR through videos I can do the reporting side of the action directly, as well as cutting down on the story as the videos should speak for themselves. This may seem a lazy way out and it probably is, requiring less out-of-game work from me and probably requiring more work from the viewer. Total War is by no means a short game and therefore the videos will not be short.
This is a hybrid AAR with the following features -
- A prologue and epilogue before and after every episode where the characters are hopefully humanized in a comedic fashion.
- Each episode consists of a video or two with commentary. Episodes might be split into two videos.
- A summary of what happened in the video because I'm aware that a lot of people won't have the time to sit down and watch 40 minutes of boring gameplay per episode.
- Possible profanity or offensive language regarding inbreeding which plays a big role in this AAR.
I'll update the title every time there is an update.
Edit: The embed problem has been fixed. I'll keep the links anyway just in case.
Edit #2 - With the average episode being between 40-50 minutes in length, it is completely understandable that people won't have time to watch an entire episode. You can generally just skip through every 10 minutes or so, or watch the start and end of every episode and get the general idea of what's going on. I try to make my progress clear in the summary/story but some people do need visuals. Here's a link to the playlist - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...TdQHbXrGMliYgD
Edit #3 - The episodes are now a single video and range between 20-40 minutes now, hopefully more towards the former.
Episode I
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"This land", began Mootlord Tremac, "it knows no King, no Lord, no Prince...it knows no rule".
"And does that give us the right to take it?" asked his heir, Harec, the future ruler of Clan Enedwaith, for which the land was named after.
Tremac stared at him. "Yes".
He waved his hand over the map of the lands surrounding Alcfud. "We keep in contact with the other clans", he said. "We meet at the Clanmoot every year and achieve nothing. The foolish Chieftains drink ale and argue over who has the best looking sister. That honour belongs to my sister! It has been like that every year!" He frowned. "But that is only part of the problem".
"You control the most power", said Harec. "Outlaw incest and bestiality and the clan lords may have something to do!"
"Never!" said Tremac as he flipped the table. It broke into pieces as it hit the ground, displaying the fine quality of Enedwaith craftsmen.
Harec took a step back in surprise. "Calm down", he said, raising the palms of his hands.
"You do not understand!" shouted Tremac. "You do not have the privilege of having a sister...soon, maybe, but for now you are lost to the Enedwaith traditions. You would seek to change us, like the outsiders and those of Clan Maolfinn.
"What of Clan Maolfinn?" asked Harec, suddenly concerned. He had always tried to keep up-to-date with the problems within their confederation of tribes. Tremac was now in his late thirties, which meant it was unlikely he'd rule for more than 5 years. Legend claimed that like all men who had fought against the Dark Lord in the First Age, their life-span had been extended. However, their prosperity and learning had declined as they became little more than wild clans in the wilderness. As their civility went down, so did their life-span. Unfortunately, Harec was one of the few people in Enedwaith who knew this. In his youth he had spent much time in the Alcfud Library, which consisted of five books, with four of them being written in an ancient Enedwaith language that no one could understand. This was irrelevant anyway as Harec was one of the few people who could actually read. His father couldn't.
"The Maolfinn have rebelled!" said Tremac, his face going red. "They have barred their villages and occupied the ancient city near the river mouth. They're calling for help from the upstarts across the river, those who call themselves the Saralainn".
"Ah yes!" said Harec in enthusiasm. "The Saralainn were an ancient Kingdom made up of Cardolani who fled south after the war against the Witch King! They declined and disappeared not long afterwards, but most of the population survived in one form or another. If they're active again it could mean they wish to re-establish their Kingdom!"
Tremac simply stared at him. "I have no idea what you just said", he said bluntly. "And whatever it was, I don't want to hear anymore". He reached down and picked up the man from the floor. It crumbled into dust as soon as his hand touched it. He blinked.
"What are you going to do about them?" asked Harec.
"I'm going to gather the Clans", replied the Mootlord. "I'll gather forces from across Enedwaith and deal with them...along with these Saralainn. I'm going to issue an edict across Enedwaith...vigorous procreation is to begin at once if we are to begin this war".
"Why? The war will be over in less than a year".
"Against the Saralainn? Maybe. But our war on the world has just begun".
"What the ", said Harec.
"Go south with some men and secure our southern borders", ordered Tremac. "Keep the clans in line while I'm gone and I swear to the gods that if you outlaw our traditions, I'll bring my army south and dump you in the ocean. Don't make me do that...that would make Foska the heir...and we all know how Foska is".
Harec nodded at mention of his mentally deficient brother. "I'll keep them in line".
"Good", said Tremac. "I'll be back soon...or never".
The Saralainn despaired over the bodies of their fallen outside the city gates. Never again would they rise as the Saralainn.
He turned to his guard. "Have the people gather in the town square".
His army, who outnumbered the populace of this town they called Suduri, quickly gathered the population of the town and herded them into the square. They were better dressed than his own people, and looked much more hygenic, and that annoyed him greatly...but he was the King of Enedwaith and he would have to attempt to be smart.
"Saralainn..." he shouted, "when you look upon us, you see barbarians. And what you would expect of barbarians in this situation? Kill you and eat you? Rape your women? Burn your homes...No, we show mercy, just like we did to our wretched cousins, the Maolfinn, who would go against our traditions. Do not see us as conquerors, see us as liberators. For we have brought to you our laws and our traditions. Look upon your sisters! They are yours now. Look upon your brothers! They are yours now. We of the Enedwaith have unlocked the key to happiness and we brought it to you. Farmers of the Saralainn...some of you love your animals more than simple pets...well now you can take that love further! We of the Enedwaith have brought to you what your former lords would've denied you. Join us, and your lives will be greater than what you can possibly imagine!"
A cheer went up, mostly from his own soldiers. The crowd showed mixed reactions; some looked confused, some looked disgusted, others looked angry.
"M'lord, they don't look pleased", said one of his soldiers.
"They are like my son", replied the Mootlord, "they have not experienced our happiness yet...they will learn".
"Aye, aye, m'lord", replied the soldier. "When do we leave?"
"We will stay here for a while...but soon we shall march inland along the river".
"We are stopping at Barad Vin?" asked the soldier.
"No, my man", replied Tremac. "There are lands much like these that still await. I hope your goodbyes to your sister and mother were long and meaningful because you will not be seeing them for a long time".
Summary of Episode I
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Episode 1 Summary - Enedwaith's start is extremely slow. The first few turns are spent building what we can and rallying our meager forces to Lond Daer, a rebel city. The battle for the city is fairly easy, and our faction leader, Tremac, immediately crosses the river and besieges Suduri, another rebel town. The battle for that goes well. Meantime, our production in our cities has kicked off and we are now able to gather some decent forces. We send another force south and lay siege to a small castle near Gondorian borders. We end the episode with Tremac's forces ready to strike inland and conquer more land for Enedwaith.

The Maolfinn leaders bend knee to you, lord", said the messenger. "Although our garrison there is small, the Maolfinn can barely raise enough men for a warband let alone an army".
"Hmm", said Tremac. "What else is there? And be quick about it as I'm currently busy compiling a list of all brothers and sisters in Saralainn..."
"Ahem", interrupted the Saralainn scribe who sat in the corner of the room.
"He is compiling the list because I cannot spell!" said Tremac.
"There is one other thing, lord", continued the messenger. "It isn't a formal message...there are reports from some of your patrols around Suduri".
"Reports of what? Unregistered goats?"
"No...farms and smaller villages have been found mostly abandoned", said the messenger. "Word has it that a rally point has been staged further along the river for all men who wish to fight this occupation?"
"Occupation?!?" shouted Tremac as he slammed his fist on the table. He paused for a second, seemingly confused.
"Something wrong, lord?" asked the messenger.
"Sorry. I was distracted. Normally the table breaks whenever I touch it".
"That is because our tables are of finer make", commented the Saralainn scribe nonchalantly.
"You close your mouth!" snapped the King of Enedwaith. "For all your intelligence and craftsmanship, you Saralainn never discovered the wonders of lying with your sisters!"
The scribe simply shook his head in resignation and continued writing his list.
"What I was trying to say, lord", began the messenger. He lowered his voice to nearly a whisper. "Is that the Saralainn aren't beaten yet...they might still have allies within the city. You shouldn't trust anyone".
"Right", stated Tremac. "Well, this is a problem, isn't it?" He paced back and forwards in deep thought for a few minutes.
"I have it!" he said suddenly. "I will gather the army and march out to meet them!"
"Uhh...my lord, that brings me to the next part of the report", said the messenger. "Our trackers think the remnants of the Saralainn are planning on staging an ambush in the forests to the northeast. You remember the tales of the old tall men Kingdoms? Well, some of their descendants are supplying them from a fortress named Argond to the northeast. They fear our growing power".
"Seems like we need to crush the rebellion and deal with these Argond", resolved Tremac.
"Argond is the name of the fortress", corrected the messenger.
"Argondese then, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that we have new enemies and new land to conquer! Assemble the army!"
"My lord...it isn't my place but I plead that we should learn more about these rebels and this fortress of Argond before we set forth".
"Nonsense", replied the King. "They have set an ambush. So be it, we shall spring the trap".
The messenger was baffled. "Is that a good idea?"
"Of course", replied the King. "They will expect us to go around this ambush, and therefore they shall set an ambush for that. Instead, we will walk into their ambush, catching them off guard. They will not expect us to do something that stupid!" He seemed proud of himself and his logic.
"I...yes, my lord". He left the town hall, greater than any building in Alcfud, the Enedwaith capital. Tremac marveled at the design after the messenger left, baffled as to how simple men could build such structures with such perfection.
"Soon I shall sit on a diamond chair and drink wine from marble cups", he said to himself.
In the corner, the Saralainn scribe rolled his eyes.
Tremac sat on the walls of Argond's battlements watching as the captives were herded into the town square. They were disarmed and made to sit and watch as the victorious Enedwaith soldiers burnt the bodies of their comrades.
The mighty castle had held out for over a year before marching out due to lack of food. The weakened soldiers stood no chance against his archers who slaughtered most of them before they even reached his men. In the ensuing battle he had only lost 20 men, much to the joy of his soldiers who had lost many friends, cousins, brothers, half-brothers, second cousins, brother-cousins and father-brothers in the battle against the Saralainn remnants. But in his heart, he knew his decision to march into the ambush was the correct one and that a leader who doubted his own ability should not be a leader at all.
He watched as his men reluctantly let the remaining captives back to their families, allowing for a few tears of joy amidst a torrent of sadness. These men claimed to be of the old Kingdom of Cardolan, men who claimed dominion over his own people, yet did nothing to protect them and treated them like savages. It brought him immense joy to see men of such proud lineage brought low by men who they deemed as barbarians. But as they were now part of Enedwaith dominion, he showed them mercy.
"My lord", said a voice. Tremac spun around to see the messenger who he had spoken to back in Suduri, over a year ago.
"You're alive", said Tremac.
"Yes, my lord", said the messenger.
"You must have your sister's blessing", replied the King.
"I do not have a sister", said the messenger.
"Unfortunate", said the King. "What news?"
"Our scouts around the city have spotted men from the north, those called Bree-landers on the outskirts of this region", informed the messenger. "They are armed and upon their discovery they fled back towards the north. We may have problems with them".
"Ahh, yes, I know of them", said Tremac. "A few of them have come to Alcfud in my time as Mootlord and they have shown great contempt for our people. They do not approve of our ways. They are simple merchants and farmers, fit for the taking if we please".
"That isn't everything", continued the messenger. "Members of the Rangers have been seen with them. And these Bree-landers looked tough and used to their weapons. They have armed themselves, my lord".
"The Rangers?" whispered Tremac. He knew they were the true remnants of the Old Kingdom, not these so-called descendants in Saralainn and Argond. Their bows shot further, their steel was sharper and their prowess unmatched by any men in the known world. "The remnants of the Old Kingdom would dare rise again? For what reason?"
"We don't know", said the messenger. "But they are out in force and are aiding the Bree-landers. Some of the people of Argond claim that the Bree-landers have been sending men further south than normal, demanding the allegiance of villages that were once independent. They have apparently built forts along the river and are fortifying their cities".
"Against us?"
"This has been happening for years, so probably not".
"Then they won't expect us when we come", concluded Tremac.
Summary of Episode II -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Tremac's army marched north-east along the river to the small castle of Argond. Unfortunately, I lost most of my infantry on the way there due to a rebel army's successful ambush on my own forces. Thankfully, the ambushing army was made up entirely of bandits and therefore relatively easy to defeat. Argond fell without much trouble, despite the forces in Argond being actually stronger than most rebel units I've encountered previously. In the south, we took the small castle of Balorn and now have a defensive position against Gondor, who marched an army right up to the gates. Thankfully, they didn't attack and allowed me to reinforce Balorn, whose army had taken serious losses during the initial fall of the settlement. The economy isn't as stable as it was in the past, so hopefully my minor villages and towns will upgrade soon, allowing me to have a strong economy and begin to wage my war on all of Middle Earth.

nice adding, one notice though, episode 3 "Ambush" 1/2", the video becomes black after about minute 15
Yeh, I had an interruption so I had to cut recording for about two minutes there. Not much really happened though so I decided to play it off.
It gets better with this episode though. You'll notice at the end of #3 (2/2) that the screen goes black. My game actually crashed and I was forced to replay the battle.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"A letter from the south, my lord", said the messenger. He handed Tremac the letter and backed away.
Tremac took the letter, which was in fact just a bunch of scratches on a piece of tree bark. He looked at it for a second and then looked up at the messenger with a scowl.
"Is there a problem?" asked the messenger warily.
"What is this?" asked Tremac, waving the letter in his hand.
"That is what we use to write letters on", replied the messenger. "We haven't discovered paper yet".
"No! I know what this is, but what are these strange carvings?"
"They are words, my lord", said the messenger with a frown of confusion. "I assume it is a message from your son".
"Bah! He spends his time writing letters when he could be spending time with his cousins". He waved the messenger over. "What does this say?"
"My...lord", stammered the messenger. "I'm but a simple soldier. Is it wise I read a personal letter?"
"I can't read", Tremac stated bluntly.
The messenger's face twitched as if he was going to make a comment, but he refrained and took the letter.
"Your son sends his kindest regards and wishes you well on your journey-"
"Smaller words please", said Tremac.
"He has...got more men from other clans who are...happy with your goodness so far and trust that you will make a mighty land for them", he continued onwards, trying to substitute words that might confuse the King. "He also says they have gotten more land to the south".
"How many men does he send?" asked Tremac.
"800", answered the messenger.
"How many?" repeated the King.
"Umm, 800, my lord", the messenger repeated his answer.
The King stared at him blankly. "Can you make that with your fingers?"
"No, my lord", said the messenger. "It is nearly as many men as what you have?"
"Oh...that's good, yes". He began to pace again, meaning he was about to come up with another of his ingenious plans. "Once they arrive, we will strike north at the Bree-landers".
"Is it wise to antagonise them?" asked the messenger.
"What does 'wise' mean?" questioned Tremac.
"Don't worry, my lord", said the messenger. "I think your plan is good".
"Good", said the King. "Pass the word down to my men, we leave...soon".
Episode 1/2
Episode 2/2
"It feels good", said Tremac as he wandered through the city with his guards and his increasingly present messenger. "We have finally bested a worthy enemy. The lands will tremble when they hear of the Enedwaith".
"Congratulations, my lord", said the messenger. "However, I would consider requesting for more reinforcements from our home. Our losses were severe and we cannot rely on the locals here to swell our ranks".
"Oh, but I believe we can trust them", replied Tremac. He waved his guards over. "Gather everyone in the town into the square and have them listen to my words". The guards nodded and ran off. The messenger despaired as he worried about what stupid idea the King would come up with this time.
Within an hour, the few hundred people within the town were gathered into the square and waited for the King of Enedwaith to speak.
"People of Metraff", yelled the King.
"Metraith", corrected the messenger in a quiet voice.
"People of Metraith!" repeated the King, this time getting it correct. "You are now people of Enedwaith. That means you will obey me and serve me". He scanned the crowd with his keen eyes. "You are dismissed".
The messenger facepalmed. The King had literally just told commanded that the Metraithians simply become Enedwaith and expected that they'd be completely loyal to their new lords. He looked at the crowd and saw the angry faces of people who had just been herded into together just so the King of Enedwaith could say a dozen words to them. If their fortunes in this war continued, he figured that it would not be easy subduing the conquered.
Summary of Episode III -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Tremac's army is reinforced by fresh units from Alcfud, among those units being our elite Moot units and our reliable Foresters of Haleth. Upon arrival of that army, we notice that the Bree-lander town of Metraith has an extremely small garrison so we assault its walls (something I'm bad at). After taking heavy casualties in the battle, we are victorious and the game crashes, forcing me to replay the battle off-screen. Dunlending forces have also been spotted in increasingly heavy numbers around Bree-land's southern borders which may present us with allies (no alliance though) in our invasion.

Episode IV
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"We face a dilemma, my lord", informed the messenger.
"And what may that be?" asked Tremac, King of the Enedwaith.
"The Bree-landers have two major hubs leading north..." started the messenger. He pointed at the map on the table which had been crafted in Metraith. "The village of Iach Sarn on the Sarn Ford blocks our way towards the land of Halflings".
"The Halflings?"
"The small people we fought", replied the messenger. "They're mostly peaceful but a few hundred have gone to war".
"They're an actual people?" asked Tremac incredulously. "I thought they were just midgets the Bree-landers sent in first!"
"Uh, not quite", said the messenger. "Anyway, one path is blocked by Iach Sarn and the other by Mengalen". Tremac didn't react. "Mengalen was an old Cardolani fortress in the Barrow Downs". Nothing on Tremac's face showed recognition of any of those words. "The Bree-landers have refortified it and have started a colony there despite the presence of the undead".
"Well...that's stupid".
"They have a sizeable force there as well, my lord", said the messenger. "This leads me to assume that they knew we were coming for them. It's possible the Saralainn or the descendants of Cardolan informed them of our intentions".
"More men to slaughter, more glory to be had!" said Tremac in excitement. "We shall attack both of these settlements at once!"
"Is that a good idea, my lord?" questioned the messenger. "Your judgement so far has been brilliant but perhaps we lack the men to assault both places at once".
"Nonsense", replied the King. "The people in this city will supplement our forces well".
"My lord, every man we've tried to conscript has fled the city and joined our enemy", informed the messenger. "A few have joined, but many remain undecided".
"Offer a thousand gold coins to any man who joins", decided the King.
"We don't have that much gold", said the messenger.
"Then make some!" ordered the King.
"We don't have any gold mines", said the messenger.
"Then build some!" ordered the King.
"We haven't found any gold to mine", sighed the messenger.
"Then get some pebbles from the river and paint them...ah, blast it! We shall remain in the city until reinforcements arrive".
Tremac looked at the walls of Argond.
They were sturdy, but the defenders inside were weakening. And if word from his spies were true, the Lord of Bree-land was among them.
His army was vast. Much more than what the Bree-landers could muster to defend.
"Our scouts report that enemy reinforcements are approaching", said the messenger as he approached the King.
"How many?"
"Not enough to save the city", replied the messenger.
"Good", said the King. "Make sure the men are ready for battle. They will attack us from the city as well".
The messenger began to walk away.
"Let the men know that the man who slays the enemy King shall be granted ten one thousands golds", said the King, causing the messenger to stop.
"I'm sorry, how much is that?" asked the messenger, confused at the King's grasp on numbers.
"If you have a pile of gold coins with one thousand golds in it, the man who slays him gets...ten piles".
"We don't have that much gold", said the messenger.
Summary of Episode IV -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
We don't achieve much in this episode due to the fact that I have kind of over-extended. Argond is attacked by a Bree-lander force which attacks from the west (Bree captured the region of Girithlin) and captures it despite the valiant defence. This Bree-lander force is being led by the Bree-lander faction leader, Barliman Butterbur. Tremac gathers a force (leaving enough men to garrison Metraith) and lays siege to Argond with the intention of taking it back. Bree-lander forces hover around the city like vultures, waiting to strike, whilst creepy Dunlendings watch from the hills with their massive army.

Episode V
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
In the distance, Tremac could see two of the three enemy armies linking up as the third army charged his current position.
"Fools!" he shouted. "They think their shiny armour will protect them? Fire!"
"They're out of range, my lord", shouted back one of his sub-commanders.
"Then aim further!" ordered the King. His archers, numbering more than his infantry, gave each other confused glances at the order, but raised their bows and prepared to loose.
"My lord!" interrupted the messenger. "Surely it would prove to be a tactically wise decision to not waste arrows?"
"If we run out, we can send our men out to retrieve them", replied Tremac.
"That doesn't work, my lord", informed the messenger. "Our men would be slaughtered".
"Okay. We'll wait until they get in range".
The armoured Bree-landers did not take long to enter firing distance and soon Tremac's archers, many of them who had grown up using the bow, opened fire and dozens of enemy soldiers dropped to the ground. In the distance, the larger Bree-lander army approached. In their midst, the midget people marched forward bravely.
Soon enough, the first force routed under the rain of arrows and most of them retreated, except for the few archers who fired at the vast army of Enedwaith, who skilfully dodged arrows by using their own comrades as shields, mostly against their wills. The second force advanced warily, but even their caution could not stop the Enedwaith arrows from finding their marks. In a display that rivaled Tremac's own stupidity, the Bree-lander leader, Barliman Butterbur, charged forwards into the Enedwaith army and was met by the spears of Tremac's most elite troops, who had trained for many days to hone their bodies. The Bree-lander infantry, although outnumbered, attempted to aid their leader as he drove deeper into the mass of Enedwaith.
"That is the man!" cried Tremac. "Kill that man!" He rushed forward with his own unit towards the mounted bodyguard unit of Barliman. The Bree-landers had taken significant casualties and by the time Tremac's men reached them, fewer than a dozen remained. Tremac attempted to push through his own men, but by the time he reached the Bree-landers, there was nothing but corpses, including Barliman's. He looked at the corpse and was immediately disgusted by how the man looked, with his well-kept hair, beard and face lacking any permanent dirt stains.
He looked around and watched in admiration as his troops finished off what remained of the Bree-landers, driving them from the battlefield. With those few who had survived fleeing away from the city, Tremac ordered his army to halt the pursuit and form up for the advance on Argond.
"You did it, my lord", said the messenger as he approached, covered in Bree-lander blood and perspiration. "This is the greatest victory for Enedwaith since...forever really!"
"There will be many more victories", said Tremac seriously. "This is just the beginning".
"A new force has been trained in Alcfud", said the messenger. "Your victories have caused many fisherman and villagers who barely even knew they had a King to take up arms for you".
"Looking upon my army", said the King, "I did not think that many people even existed within my Kingdom".
"Your victories have inspired your people", continued the messenger. "These soldiers are now completely loyal to you. I have even heard rumours that the Saralainn have even begun to praise your greatness".
"All of Middle-Earth will praise my greatness soon", replied Tremac. He looked at the map. "Once these soldiers arrive from Alcfud, we will continue our assault on the Bree-landers. Their cities will be ours, they shall obey our laws and accept that I am their King".
"I am certain they will", said the messenger.
"We will be the greatest nation in Middle-Earth since the times of the tall men", announced Tremac. He drew his sword and stepped out of the hall where a company of his soldiers patrolled lazily. "I swear that this Kingdom will last a thousand one years times! I swear that from here to the lands beyond here, they shall bow to our supremacy! The Enedwaith shall be Kings among men and the other people who exist as well". He raised his sword, made out of fine Enedwaith steel. "I swear it by this sword!" He thrust it down towards the dirt, only for the sword to snap into half a dozen smaller pieces. One of the splinters bounced up and cut the side of his leg. "Ah !" he yelled as he fell to the ground.
"My lord!" shouted one of the soldiers. He ran to his King who sat clutching his leg. "Someone get a healer. We must pack this wound with mud to stop the infection!"
"What?!?" shouted the messenger in disbelief. "No! No! No! That doesn't work at all. I'll take care of this!"
Summary of Episode V -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
This episode is full of mighty victories for the Enedwaith. First, Argond was retaken with nearly the utter destruction of Bree-lander forces, along with the death of Barliman Butterbur, the Bree-lander leader. During this time, Metraith was attacked by a medium sized Bree-lander force. The garrison was easily large enough to repulse the assault resulting in nearly the destruction of nearly another Bree-lander army. Finally, the Bree-landers resorted to a dishonourable sneak attack on Dol Vorn, our poor isolated settlement near Lindon. This assault was also pushed back easily enough. With over 2,500 Bree-lander killed in the space of a few turns, Bree appears to have lost a lot of it's offensive capability. Tremac now waits for reinforcements before continuing his invasion of Bree-land.

For some reason Gondor, Rohan and Lindon really like me despite the fact I'm at war with two "good" factions, yet my relationship with Dunland is average despite the fact I'm effectively their ally by being at war with the same two factions they're at war with.
I wouldn't say Enedwaith are evil aligned, but they're definitely not a "good" faction and from what I've seen they often end up at war with Rohan so I don't really know what I'm doing differently (apart from not actively attacking them).

Episode VI
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"The reinforcements are on their way", said the messenger. "Provided they head in the right direction, they should be here in a few seasons".
"It's been fifty years since I was born", said Tremac as if he had not heard what the messenger had just said. "My father didn't live this long, neither did his father or any of my ancestors".
"May you live for another fifty years, my lord", said the messenger.
"Ah, but I have the key!" said Tremac, suddenly spinning and facing the messenger with a strange gleam in his eye. "The gods have rewarded me for my brilliance. This war pleases the gods and they award me with life for every battle I win. As long as I always have a foe to beat...I can never die".
"I...yes, that does indeed make sense", lied the messenger. "And there are many foes to be fought beyond the horizon".
"Like who?" asked Tremac.
"Well, the horse-lords, the tall men, the orcs and the southrons", said the messenger.
"Never heard of them", said Tremac. "It's ilerrevant anyway".
"It's pronounced irrelevant, my lord", corrected the messenger.
"Once I am King of all lands, I shall say words how I wish to say them", said Tremac. "How are our enemy positioned?"
"Well", said the messenger as he approached the map. "They have blocked both paths north. Once army guards the borders of the land of the Halflings-"
"Ah yes, the midget people".
"And the other army blocks the path north to the town of Bree", continued the messenger. "However, there are other options we can take. Over here is the-" He was cut off as he touched the table, which collapsed. He paused and then looked questioningly at Tremac.
"We have begun teaching the local people the true art of Enedwaith craftsmanship", explained Tremac. "Your advice is accepriated. We shall take the river crossing leading into the land of the midget peoples. I wish to see how they live, and maybe take some back to Enedwaith as pets for our children".
Your will, my lord", said the messenger.
"This is it men", roared Tremac, waving his axe in the air so all could see. "They may look like many, but these men are the last line of defence before the enemy capital. If we take that town, this war is won!" His army roared in appreciation.
He turned and looked at the 2,000 Bree-landers as they approached, roughly equivalent in numbers to his own force. Even from a mile away, he could see the grim determination on their faces. They knew that they had to repulse this barbarian invasion. They knew that if they failed, Bree would fall and so would their society which had survived for thousands of years.
"These Bree-landers think they're better than us", continued Tremac. "Yes, their houses are made of wood and ours of mud. Yes, their armour is chain and not leather and fur. Yes, they clean water, food and clothes, and we do not. But they lack one thing, and that one thing is going to be their demise. They lack a leader such as I and they lack the great men who follow him".
He pointed his axe at the approaching army, causing the axe-head to separate from the haft and land in the mud.
"Show these weaklings that we are the true masters of this land! Charge!" His infantry surged forward as his archers fired volley after volley into the approaching army. His infantry pushed and tripped each other as they charged forward, all eager to be the first to reach the enemy line. Several brawls erupted among his own men, but the vast majority pressed forward. Tremac watched proudly as his loyal soldiers charged to victory in not only this battle, but victory in the war.
Summary of Episode VI -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Instead of assaulting Girithlin (which I decided was not worth the long journey), I decided to punch a hole in the Bree-lander defenses at Iach Sarn and then take the easy underbelly of the Shire. The battle for Iach Sarn didn't go as well as I'd hoped and I took over 1,000 casualties in the battle. I also scouted ahead and found that the villages within the Shire were actually better garrisoned than I had expected. At this point I decided to risk everything by going straight for Bree after barely reinforcing my army back to 2,000 men. I besieged Mangalen which was well garrisoned by units which were mostly understrength, but enemy reinforcements soon arrived and made my position kind of precarious. Episode VII is going to definitely be the decider in this war.

I am thoroughly enjoying your videos and your sense of humour, I would love to see some of the changes we have since made to Enedwaith in here but sadly the release isn't ready. I have tinkered greatly with Enedwaith but your videos have certainly filled me with desire to tinker more and our latest addition was an uber heavy unit for Enedwaith when they 'unify' Enedwaith under one clan banner. It is about as strong as the upper middle tier of other factions but for Enedwaith it is like a BOSS on the battlefield. So really I wanted to say thank you for the awesome videos and stories and certainly keep em coming!
Lastly, if you are interested, I would happily add you to the testing group for out next release if you would like to join and test stuff for us. Especially as you used to be a DaC Council Member and I am now the leader of DaC.

Thanks for the support and also thank you for this wonderful faction. I don't think Enedwaith receives the attention it deserves considering it's a faction that has almost been crafted from scratch with very from the lore (much like Dorwinion). As for the offer, I'll gladly help test but as of mid-September I'm away for a month so that could pose a little bit of an issue. I do intend to have this series wrapped up by around then as well.
Episode VII -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The fighting had been fierce between the two sides. The Bree-landers had constantly engaged and then disengaged, breaking up what little formation Tremac's troops already had. Instead of a proper battle, it turned into scattered melee with archers from either side firing volley after volley indiscriminately towards enemy masses. However, Tremac's troops were battle-hardened and their ferocity soon break the ranks of the Bree-landers. In an attempt to reverse the situation, the enemy general who was later identified as Captain Edgar, charged into the Enedwaith only to be cut down from his horse. After that, the Bree-lander army broke north along the Greenway, abandoning the colony village of Mengalen to its fate.
"We lost over half our infantry", said one of Tremac's lieutenants. "We are only saved because we have the finest archers in the land".
"That we do", said Tremac. "Gather the troops and the wounded".
"My lord", said the messenger, "we should burn the bodies of the dead from both sides and then hurry towards Mengalen. This is on the very edge of the Barrow-downs...a place of ill-repute. The Dead will not take kindly to us being here. Besides, if we do not hurry to Mengalen the Dead will realise the village is undefended..."
"The Dead?" asked Tremac. "They're called dead for a reason. Dead means they can't hurt anyone".
"No", answered the messenger. "The Dead as in the undead. The Barrow-wights who have infested these lands since the Witch-King overran them".
"The Witch King?" said Tremac. "How can he be a Witch and a King? A King is a man and a Witch is an evil woman. He...or she cannot be both".
"That doesn't matter", said the messenger. "All I'm saying is that we shouldn't linger out in the open and that we shouldn't leave the corpses here to rot. They may cause problems later on".
"Yes, yes", said Tremac. He turned to his lieutenant. "Burn the bodies, except one, which will be our offering to this Witch-King. It would like to arrange a meeting with...it. See what...it says about Enedwaith's future".
"My lord", explained the messenger. "The Witch-King was a servant of the Dark Lord. I doubt you would want to meet him. Besides, he left these lands long ago".
I unfortunately had a game crash at the end of the battle for Bree. It seems to happen occasionally, but it hasn't been too much of a problem yet.
Tremac stood atop a small table.
"Wench, get me some more ale!" he shouted. "I'm the King now!"
Bree had fallen to the Enedwaith. Awed by the capital of his enemies, Tremac had ordered his men not to burn it, much to the delight of the messenger who found the great wooden city to be a nice change from the small huts or the mud villages of the Enedwaith he had lived in before.
Tremac drank the remaining content of the mug he was holding. "When this war is over, we'll show you sorry folk how to make real Enedwaith ale". He burped. "How much mud do you use in this anyway?"
"Uh, none", said a sour looking Bree-lander.
"There is your problem", boomed Tremac as he jumped down from the table. Unfortunately, his excessive alcohol consumption delayed the response of his legs and he faceplanted into the floor, much to the amusement of the few actual Bree-landers inside the inn. His soldiers quickly helped him to his feet and rubbed their spit on his face to dull the pain.
"Ah that hurt", groaned Tremac. "Ugh, where is the piss pot?"
"We use toilets in Bree", replied a Bree-lander woman. "You know...with actual sewers".
"Never heard of them", replied Tremac. "The new pile outside will serve just fine for the moment. When it's spent enough time in the sun we can use it to build more houses. Soon we'll have Bree looking as good as Alcfud". The Bree-landers were horrified with his proposal and the remaining few barged outside.
"My lord", said the messenger. "Perhaps we should not do anything too outrageous at the moment. This isn't a small town...if the population rises up against us we could have some issues".
"These people are Enedwaith now", said Tremac. "They had better learn to deal with it".
"In time", replied the messenger. "But for now we should try to appease them, show them that we are a people who are worthy of ruling them". Tremac nodded in drunken agreement as the messenger spoke. "Train your soldiers how to use the toilets. Train them not to drink water that comes from the gutters. Encourage them to drink the Bree-landers brew and enjoy their foods. We are conquerors, my lord, but only for the moment. It is all good to capture a city, but if you cannot hold it, especially from those within..."
"I can see the locig in your ideas", said Tremac. "I'm not comfortable with your locig, but so far you have proven valuable".
"It's logic, my lord", corrected the messenger, "and I am truly glad you are taking my advice".
Summary of Episode VII -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The episode starts with the battle of Mengalen which goes surprisingly well considering the disjointed enemy formation which in turn screwed up my own formation. Only 600 troops were lost in that battle and with Bree relatively undefended, I was comfortable with sending my remaining soldiers to besiege it. An Angmarim army also arrived near Bree, hinting that the Bree-landers were hard-pressed on multiple sides before their defensive line collapsed. I also took an opportunity in killing the new enemy faction leader when he was wandering around alone (I took heavy casualties doing so). In the southwest, I decided to auto-resolve the attack on Caras Nurnelad which ended in a crushing defeat for myself (Worst decision ever). Instead of risking those troops, I sent them back to Alcfud to replenish and finish the job later on (this time definitely no auto-resolve). Whilst Bree are definitely in a losing position, they're definitely not out of the war and with my supply line so streched, I need to make sure I don't screw anything up.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"The men in Archet are harassing our patrols", said the lieutenant. "We'll have to deal with them eventually".
"The King won't want to sit around for too long", replied the messenger.
As if summoned, the a hulking figure crashed through the door in an explosion of wooden splinters.
Tremac, King of the Enedwaith, stood amidst the carnage and stepped between the two men.
"My lord, are you okay?" asked the messenger.
"I couldn't find the handle", said Tremac as he rubbed his forehead. "So...what are we doing?"
"You are the King", said the lieutenant. "Aren't these your decisions to make?"
"Probably", he said. He pointed on the map. "What's that little green blob?"
"That's Archet", said the messenger. "We control the villages of Staddle and Coombe, but the village of Archet has a sizable garrison which is proving troublesome".
"Okay", said Tremac. "Um, we need to take that place then".
"My lord...I'm not sure about this decision", said the messenger. "This village is deep in enemy territory. We're cut off and these Halflings aren't fans of us".
"They left this place barely defended", said Tremac. "Let this be a message to them. If they offer us land, we shall take it!"
"We may have even more troubles holding it", said the messenger. "Some of our scouts have been found dead, filled with tiny arrows. The vocal halflings claim we have killed some very respectable folk".
"Like who?"
"A halflings known as Frodo Baggins", answered the messenger. "Well-liked by his neighbours and heir to a considerable wealth. Some of the halflings say he was destined for great things".
Tremac shrugged. "He's a midget people, what great things could he have possibly done?"
"Probably not much, my lord", replied the messenger. "Not worth losing sleep over".
Summary of Episode VIII -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
This was an episode filled with the conquering of villages along with some successful auto-resolves (no casualties!). Archet is a small village which sits right outside Bree and had to go. I captured it but it did cause me some problems (lost 400/1500 men). After that I reinforced Tremac's army and moved towards the Shire. Unfortunately, some of the Shire settlements are very well garrisoned so I decided to do something I wouldn't normally do and grab Hobbiton, defended by a tiny force (including Frodo). In that battle I learned that Enedwaith cavalry is not very reliable and that the garrison script Bree-landers have a habit of fighting to the death. Frodo fell in that battle, meaning the LOTR trilogy has a new protagonist. So now Tremac and his army are in the centre of the Shire, surrounded by half a dozen enemy settlements, three of which are well garrisoned. Bree-land is far from done for.

I just finished reading & watching these episodes (over a few days, mind you) and it's very entertaining! I'm really curious to see Enedwaith's potential, because once you finish off Breeland, I wonder what other options you'll have without having to go up against Elves or Dwarves.
About the Foresters of Haleth, maybe you'll be able to get them after the Barracks event? Or did that already pass?
Anyway, very entertaining and hope to see more from the mighty Tremac, he who shows the world that ignorance can be bliss! Oh my, I wonder what would happen if he were to ever lay hands on the Ring..

Thank you for watching.
Foresters of Haleth? I'm still not sure how to retrain them. It's about 80 turns in so I think all the barracks events have popped (I may be wrong though). Retraining them would solve a lot of my problems as they truly are an awesome unit.
Options after Bree-land? I dread going up against the Dwarves and Elves, although I'm sure Tremac would be willing to fight anyone. There is still the Dunedain however, and I could also turn on my Dunlendish brothers (they've been having a rough time, why not make it worse?)
If he gets his hand on the Ring? I don't know. I think he would just end up becoming another Gollum, just larger and much less intelligent.
In this episode you might notice I get caught cheating. I solemnly swear by the Enedwaith tribal gods that toggle_fow was used at the end of the previous episode (recorded nearly a week ago) out of curiosity and for no sinister purpose (spying on enemy troops). All information comes from my trusty spy whose name I don't actually know. I feel he deserves some recognition.
However, the game punished me in one of my battles by making my troops unresponsive, which should be delightful for the viewer, but also painful at the same time.
You'll also notice there is only one video in this episode. I've decided to cut down on time so hopefully I can put episodes out more regularly (they were already pretty frequent, but I only have a month timeframe before I'm forced to finish this AAR) and to make it less of a slog for viewers.
Episode IX
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Well, this is just great!" said the messenger. "Cut off from supplies, surrounded by enemies and no chance of reinforcements".
"It's your job to stop me from doing things like this", replied Tremac quite calmly.
"I suppose you're right", said the messenger. He looked over the hobbit hills and saw the remnants of their army camping on the fair green grass. "The Bree-landers have no doubt cut off our escape from this so-called Shire, and our offensive capability is dwindling".
Tremac stared at him blankly.
"That means even if we do escape from the Shire, we'll lose most of our men", said the messenger.
"I fail to see the problem", replied Tremac.
"The problem is that we can't just keep recruiting more men, eventually we will run out!"
"Nonsense, this campaign began twenty years ago. The newborns of those years are now old enough to fight".
"Would you turn us into a society like the orcs?" asked the messenger. "Women are to simply be breeders and men are sent out to die the moment they've fathered a few children?" Tremac looked unusually thoughtful for a moment. The messenger quickly interjected. "Don't answer that!"
"I feel like I'm not the King anymore", said Tremac.
"You are, and you've achieved much more than any other Enedwaith ever has".
"If that is true", said Tremac proudly. "Then I will make the next decision". He stepped into his command tent and walked to the ever-present map and table. "We shall attack this blob here!"
"Apparently that is Tuckborough, my lord", said the messenger. "Home to a prestigious halfling family, although a strategically unimportant location".
"You say we lack the offensive capability to cross the river?" said Tremac. "Well, we shall force them to abandon the river. These settlements are ripe for the taking. How many of them will they let burn before they come to stop us?"
"I...agree, my lord", said the messenger, quite truthfully. He finally felt like Tremac was learning.
"So many dead", said the messenger. "All these new faces and the loss of all the old faces...how many of these men started with us back in Saralainn?"
Tremac shrugged. "Doesn't matter".
The messenger shook his head. "If we keep taking losses like this then we won't be able to defend a Bree-lander counter-attack".
"That counter-attack won't be coming soon", said Tremac. "A halfling identified as Bree's leader was found among the dead".
"What? Why?"
Tremac shrugged. "I don't know".
"He must've been here to assess the situation. He wasn't expecting us to attack this town and didn't bring enough men to defend".
"They're running out of leaders", said Tremac. "The first one wasn't as good as me and I'm sure their fourth one won't be either".
"And we're running out of men".
"Reinforcements are on their way", assured Tremac.
"How do you know?"
"I can hear them".
"What? How?"
"I don't know", said Tremac. "The voices in my head. I can hear them".
"Voices in your head...uh, what are they telling you?"
"They're telling me not to stop", answered the King. "They're telling me only to stop when Middle-Earth is mine".
"Oh ".
Summary of Episode IX -
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Bree-land was attacked by a small Bree-lander force, but the assault was easily held off and resulted in the annihilation of yet another Bree-lander army. My troops who were meant to take Caras Nurnelad earlier have returned to the castle at full strength for revenge (and no auto-resolve this time!) My economy is in the gutter, which unfortunately means I'm struggling to reinforce Tremac and retrain my decimated units which have returned to the capital (and I thought I could gather a second army). Meanwhile, Tremac split his forces and marched on Tuchborough and captured it despite heavy losses, although the Bree-lander lost yet another faction leader. The Bree-landers are dangerously low on settlements, but still have enough men to inflict a defeat on Tremac and his weakened army.

Episode X
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Move out!" shouted the Enedwaith lieutenant. The line of battered Enedwaith soldiers marched out of Tuckborough to meet up with reinforcements from Hobbiton.
"Are you sure about this, my King?" asked the messenger. "These villages aren't well defended and if we lose them we'll have no warning from behind".
"This town, Michel Delving, is the capital of the midget-people", said Tremac. "I want to draw them out from their positions. They won't ignore us if we besiege it".
"As you wish, my King", said the messenger. "I do have some good news though. 400 of our men from Bree have crossed the eastern river uncontested and march to meet us at Michel Delving".
"Good", said the King. "We will welcome them with open gates!"
"And there is one other thing, my lord", added the messenger. "Some of our men claim to have seen a large Bree-lander army in the area, though none can verify that claim".
"And?"
"It means we should be careful, keep our scouts further out from our army so we can be prepared in case this army is real", informed the messenger.
Tremac shrugged. "Not my problem".
"I hate to go against you, my lord", said the messenger. "But it kind of is your problem. If we are caught at unawares by a large army it could be disastrous".
Tremac chuckled. "For them!"
"I can't believe it!" said the messenger, sitting amidst the multitudes of the slain. "I can't believe we won".
Tremac stepped among the dead. Finding the Bree-lander general dead beneath his horse, he leaned down and hacked off the man's head with his bloody sword.
"Rejoice, for I have slain the enemy leader", he shouted to the remaining soldiers.
"He was already dead", said the exhausted lieutenant. "That man saved us all".
Tremac turned around and saw four of his soldiers carrying the body of a fallen Enedwaith soldier. Unlike his own fur covered soldier, this man was a tribesman who lived along the Greyflood, evident by his near complete lack of clothing.
"The last of his friends dead around him, slain by a man wearing better armour, wielding a better weapon and gifted with better training, this man fought on and prevailed", mourned the lieutenant.
"He was still breathing!" protested Tremac.
"No", said a nearby soldier. "We checked his body a few times. He was dead".
"Blast it", said Tremac as he kicked the head into the air. "Look at this mess! What do I do now?"
"My King", said the messenger. "You must make this decision for yourself".
Just then, a horn sounded in the distance. "Get in line!" shouted the lieutenant. The exhausted Enedwaith soldiers moved into their defensive lines, behind the row of stakes they had placed earlier. Then a line appeared of troops appeared on the horizon, difficult to make out at such a distance.
"It better not be the garrison", growled Tremac.
"No, it's our men!" yelled a soldier. The Enedwaith banners became visible as 400 Enedwaith soldiers marched towards the battered army of Tremac.
"Yes!" shouted Tremac. "Yes! Gather our men. We march on Michel Delving!"
Summary of Episode X
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
In this battle, we finally took Caras Nurnelad with an army under an untested general named Iurnan (definitely been one of my most successful battles to date). I gathered Tremac's force and marched on Michel Delving, where the new Bree-lander faction leader was lurking around. Shortly after besieging it, I was attacked by a Bree-lander force numbering over 2,000. I tried to retreat from the battle, but they pursued me and I was forced to fight them along with a small force under the Bree-lander leader. This has definitely been one of my most intense battles to date and came down to one last horsemen cutting down the Bree-lander general. Immediately after that, the Bree-lander army broke and retreated with huge casualties. Although my own casualties were significant, the army remained mostly intact and I was soon reinforced by more infantry, allowing me to besiege Michel Delving a second time.

Thanks. I was honestly expecting to lose the battle and I was so very happy when I saw the enemy general fall.
As for Bree, I use this analogy in either Episode XI or XII (not yet out) where I say that Bree are like that player in Age of Empires or Starcraft who loses their base, but gets their workers out and builds somewhere else on the map and you have to keep finding and killing them.
Episode XI
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"They look a little disheartened", said Tremac as he stared at the low walls of Michel Delving.
"Well, they just had word their entire army was annihilated and on top of that", said the messenger. "And they've also noticed that our force has grown much stronger since they last saw it".
"Has it?" asked Tremac.
"Well, yes", said the messenger. "You saw it yourself. You know, our reinforcements arriving directly after the battle?"
"Why doesn't anyone tell me these things?" lamented the King. "If I had known I would've assaulted the walls".
"It's probably best we don't assault the walls", advised the messenger. "With the loss of that army, it is unlikely the Bree-landers will have enough men to relieve any sieges in the future".
Their conversation was interrupted as the Tremac's lieutenant arrived from the camp.
"My King, a Bree-lander army has been spotted a few miles to the east!" he informed them. "They're marching in formation. It appears they mean to hit us straight away!"
Tremac stroked his beard. "I thought I just heard they wouldn't have enough men for that", he said.
"It appears I was mistaken", said the messenger.
"How many men do they have?" asked Tremac.
"We estimate at a little over a thousand", replied the lieutenant.
"By the gods", gasped Tremac, "they could conquer the world with that many men!"
The messenger and the lieutenant looked at each other in confusion.
"Um, my lord", said the messenger. "I don't think one thousand men is as many as you think it is".
"He's right", continued the lieutenant. "We have well over one thousand men ourselves. Perhaps you were thinking of one hundred thousand?"
"That is a number?" asked Tremac.
The lieutenant looked nervously at his feet as the messenger facepalmed. "My King, what the lieutenant was trying to say is that we should array our forces to destroy this army before it can enter the city".
"Right!" said Tremac. "Good idea!"
"So this land here is actually a green blob as well?" asked Tremac, pointing at the map.
"Uh, that is Mordor, my lord", said the messenger. He pointed at the Undertowers. "This is where the green blob is".
"Hm, that is quite far away", commented Tremac. "Why not just leave it?"
"Because a group of clan leaders in Enedwaith want us to take it", said the messenger. "If we do, they'll send us more of their troops".
"Why do they want us to take it?" asked Tremac.
"I've got no idea", replied the messenger. "But if Lindon ever wishes to turn against us, then the Underhills would be a good buffer zone if we wish to gather our forces to defend".
"Who is Lindon?"
"The Elves of Lindon, my King".
"There is more than one Lindon?"
The messenger was speechless.
"The elves have a land called Lindon to the west of us", he explained, "if they ever turn hostile, they will attack us and the Underhills act as a good buffer region against them. Even if we lose it, the elves would still need to cross the White Downs to reach us".
"You speak of places I did not know existed", said Tremac. "Very well. Off to the Undertowers we go!"

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Not much this episode. After the great Battle of Michel Delving, Tremac resumes his siege of Michel Delving after being reinforced by the soldiers who took Caras Nurnelad. The Bree-landers gather what small forces they have left and surround Tremac as he is besieging the town. Shortly afterwards, they attack with around 1,200 men, plus the 70 or so in the actual garrison. The battle is a pretty big success and the Bree-landers lose yet another faction leader. Tremac consolidates his defenses, retrains some of his soldiers and waits for a larger reinforcement army to arrive from Enedwaith before pressing on towards the Undertowers.
