Adding General Variant "Slots"? Something the DeI team seems to have figured out
My stupidly long thread title almost has it all explained.
Anyway, I noticed while diggint through the tables in the DeI pack that somehow they've managed to add 2 additional Spartan general variants, upping the amount of variants from 10 to 12. I got intrested in doing something similar for the illyrians and potentially the dacians so I decided to try and replicate what they did. From what I could tell there were 3 relevant tabels; Agent_uniforms_tables, campaign_character_art_sets_tables and campaign_character_arts_tables.
However, when I add these tables to my own pack file and do the changes I want in the tables (basically just changing any Spa_General_X to Ill_General_X), the game will no longer start. And the packfile I'm making the changes in works for a fact, as I have other tables and changes in it that work fine, so I'm at a bit of loss as to what the problem is. Anyone who could possibly point me in the right direction?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you probably forgot the variants table. You have to add the Ill_gen to that table. And make sure you've changed the names of the variant meshes as well
