Default Cultural Conversion - Too Slow

I feel that cultural conversion is too slow and towards the 90% mark it reaches 0% conversion growth, despite having all diplomats and cultural conversion buildings. I recommend a slight modification to the rate of cultural conversion.

Nope, works fine, even without single temple and only with governor I was able to "convert" provinces in few turns. What would be the reason for cultural conversion if it would take few turns and boom you can recruit all of your core units? It would be even more logical if it would take many times more!

Anyway, it is still very fast.

About 90% and 0% growth after, CA implemented this few patches ago. Certain provinces have hardcoded culture which will stay there forever so you can reach only certain % level of it, but never 100%.

Do you have a list of all these provinces that have been hard coded to stay culturally unchanged. I am currently playing as Sparta and certain provinces experience no cultural conversions past 90% ..... I want to know if I should consider this as maxed cultural conversion and demolish temples and relocate governors, or keep trying to convert them.

as rome, for auxilia units, do I need to be near 90% cultural conversion to recruit all units ?

Example for cisalpina, I have a lvl 2 auxiliary camp and I can only recruit cohors velitum celtarum with 62% cultural conversion.

I think you need a majority culture to recruit the Roman auxiliary units (>50% Latin). But it's also dependent on auxiliary barracks level, and reform level too if I'm not mistaken.

for some units it says they need to be "reformed" and are in grey, but not for every one of them

Even 10 years would still be too fast in RL (40 turns)

I think it's way to fast. I tend to try and slow it down myself.

Agree, I have never really had to rely on the regional troops since cultural conversion is so fast...

We probably have a way to go on balancing this, but cultural conversion is ment to be a slow campaign-spanning mechanic in DeI.

I wish we could actually slow down the rate that the culture bonus moves. Right now it is hardcoded. The reason you are probably not moving past 90% is that the culture system in the game is not all-or-nothing now. At release, if you had a higher cultural bonus you would slowly tick up to 100%. That is not the case anymore.

First, the province's culture levels will be balanced based on the ratio of culture bonuses. For example, if there is 6 Hellenic and 4 Latin influence, the culture will push the numbers toward 60% Hellenic and 40% Latin and then stay there. The farther the numbers are away from the ratio, the faster the culture changes. The closer, the slower. That rate doesn't seem to be moddable.

There are also historical bonuses for every province based on the culture that is its "home" culture. So, taking both of these aspects into account, you will probably never have a 100% culture province unless it is your home province.

Edit: As far as recruitment goes, you need a majority culture to recruit your faction's "core" units. There are no cultural requirements for AoR or auxiliary troops.
