I need help on choosing a new PC

Hi all!

I've come here for some help and advice, christmas is fast approaching and I need a new rig because mine is really old and worn out. I was wondering if anybody here knows what PC is a good buy at the moment, what sites I can get them off and what I should be going for to play some of the latest/new gen games. I would buy a motherboard then proceed to buy the other cards/sticks but I have been doing that for years now and I think it's time for me to just buy a new computer with all the contained parts I need.

basically im looking for a price range of 1k-3k (cheaper the better).

Can anybody help me out here?

Well, there are many good sites to buy stuff off of.

Are all good sites. If you hae very little knowledge of computers I suggest that you buy a pre built system, if you have lots of Cimputer knowledge I suggest you built your own, which is over twice as cheap!

£1K will get you an excelent system if you build it yourself though, but £1K wont go very far in the pre built area, what do you plan on doing?

if he had lots of knowledge about computers i would guess he knows which parts to buy.

Before you even think about this, you need to have an idea of your available budget.

You should look for something like this

Core 2 Duo e6400/e6600
