Medieval 2 total war reinstall problem -windows 8?
Hi,
I have recently tried to uninstall medieval 2 total war gold edition so I could reinstall it and fix an issue with third age total war. However, medieval 2 total war didn't appear in the uninstall/change a program list in control panel or any of the free uninstallers (e.g. Max uninstaller, IObit uninstaller etc.) that I could get off the internet. So I tried manually uninstalling it with the help of this site:
http://shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic...l-II-Total-War
i did everything in the guide, except edit the registry, as I could not find any of the required files to delete in the registry, so I couldn't delete them. Now when I try to reinstall medieval 2 total war gold edition, it says that all the gold edition files have already been installed and so the wizard will close, and so I cannot install it. I have a suspicion it might be to do with the fact I have windows 8.
Is there anything I can do? Would installing it through steam work (if so how could I do it)?

In the registry search for official and unofficial. sega and medieval may also work on some keys.

I just tried this and deleted the stuff that came up and it seems to have worked. Thank you very much!
