    Default game crash??

    "C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err in use
    Nothing comes up as an error just a plain crash to desktop after i ingage a random battle?
    any ideas?

    If you have no mods, then the error is a generic RTW error that cannot be solved.

    I've had that problem too, so I reinstalled. I tried a few battles and they seemed to be working.. Usually mods make this happen, if you have no mods, make a clean new install and update.
