    Where is your launcher? I can't see it. Check the correspondence of your command lines with the directory. Have you got the mod in RTH or in RTH_2.0?

    Move everything you got in the folder RTH_2.0 into the folder Rome Total War Gold Edition.

    Sorry, those five folders evidenced in your screenshot should stay in the folder RTH.
    I hope you didn't overwrite anything to move them.
    Where is your vanilla data? Where are your RTH launchers? I still don't see them.
    Is your vanilla version upgraded to 1.5?

    this is the only mention to the error code I found ..this code line was not presented at RHT\DATA\descr_event_image_ori.txt and is presented at my BI\DATA\descr_event_images so I tried to copy and past to the same file inside RTH and even did this to RTW\DATA\descr_event_image...even so I still get the same error mesg..this is very frustrating..

    I see, and your screenshot looks good. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
    Have you tried to launch the game with RTW instead? You know that in BI you need to start a regional campaign, do you? So it is better to start it with RTW.
    Maybe there is an incompatibility with BI-steam?
    Can you tell us, when exactly the error message appears? I mean does it occur directly after the launch or are you able to start part of the game and the problem appears only when you try to start a campaign? This would help to understand the problem.

    Tried with RTW also, same error..this is not a steam version I bought it from gamefly and downloaded it as well my copy from Medieval Kingdons;
    the crash happens just after start to run just after the launch the same message every time refering the missing "settlement_razed" line

    Have you beeen able to play other mods?

    The error message is very strange indeed.
    And your string "settlement_razed" is the only entry in the entire TWCenter forum.
    One of the first files that is loaded during launch is export_descr_building.txt, so I'd suppose that there is something wrong there.
    But I really couldn't say where all that black_characters and khaki stuff comes from. Never heard of that and I almost believe that this is not RTW stuff.

    Anybody out there who has experience with gamefly versions?

    Yes, I played RTR VII and Invasion Barbarorum without any ploblem...I even uninstaled everything even the other mods and did a fresh instalalation twice...
    This line code I found at your file RTH\DATA\event_descrip_images_ori.txt and is the only place I saw any reference to this error..
    Maybe cleanining the windows registry???

    The files containing _ori are vanilla files and they are deactivated. They are never loaded and just there for quick comparison with the new ones. In this case I simply forgot to cancel it.

    I must admit that in your case I'm lost and appeal to other users for help. So try to clean the registry and let me know if that helped. Is your vanilla still working?

    Yes both Vanila RTW and BI work fine .
    I cleaned the registry but still same thing but today i found something it may helps..perhaps..before the usual crash and error message the launcher showed the introduction screen of the IB ULTRA GLORIAM ROMAE!!?? I have no idea how that was possible and have no idea where to search any entry for this mode..since it was sucessful unistaled..it seems..

    Probably there is something wrong in your launcher.

    First check your original launcher RomeTW in your directory Rome - Total War Gold Edition.
    Check the directory lines. Did you add a mod entry to them like -mod:IBUGM or similar?
    You must not alter the original game launcher, but only secondary connections (you recognize them by the little arrow which the original hasn't got).
    If you have such an addition remove it.

    If this still doesn't solve the problem try to create a new mod connection:

    Go to the original game launcher RomeTW in your directory Rome - Total War Gold Edition. Right click and create a new connection on desktop.
    Go to the new launcher on your desktop and rename it like RTH or similar. Right click and add to destino: -mod:RTH -show_err
    Try to launch the game from there. If it is still not working, post your lines in Destino and Iniciar em here.

    After clean every single registry key that could be related with RTW I finally was able to make it work!!
    Now to be sure everything is in the right direction two questions:
    everything looks right with new load screens and new map but I get vanila style cards and all troops at battlefield are also RTW vanila style...is that right or something is missing??

    That's good news.
    The first impact may be vanilla, but you will see that there are lots of additional units.
    If you are able to start a campaign with the new map, everything is alright.

    Yes I just started the campaing and first impression is really a masterpiece! my congrats;
    but really the vanilla looking of units is really not good to my personal taste, no critiscism here of course but as it is called Total Histroy, IHMO the units and historycal uniforms should be a very important aspect of the mod but this is just my 2 cents of course;
    Who knows you can develop later a patch changing them to more historycally accurate ones
    Will keep my fingers crossed!

    I did everything as you said. Moved RTH_2.0 to my D/RTW (where I installed RTW), copied shortcuted, changed destination D:\RTW\RomeTW.exe -mod:RTH_2.0 but it always starts vanilla. What must I do that I can play mod? Tnx
