Default [Citizenship] Brivime, Dontfearme22 and Türkenlouis for Artifex [INVALID]

(!) We found out that I am too young a Citizen to propose other members for Artifex. Looking for a new patron just right now.

    Supporters: ... ... ...

Hi all, I stumbled upon an active and great team of non-artifex modders (yet). I hope it is fine that I propose them for the Artifex here in one composed group proposal.

    Proposer's Passage Dear Citizens

I would like to propose Brivime, Dontfearme22 and Türkenlouis from the Total War: Age of Bronze Crew (Modding Platform: Rome II).

I am patronizing these awesome folks because the team of Age of Bronze imposed me for those many reasons following below:

    - Quality: Age of Bronze caught my eyes a few weeks ago browsing through their modifications forum. What I saw was just amazing work. We have a completely new timeframe, exceptional research and great work on textures, models and many more aspects of the game. The modding team is visible at any times and this is a good sign of a healthy working atmosphere.
    - Support: Upon commenting on their forum I immediately got messages of thanks and an offer of them helping me out in my own mods research. A member of AoB also immediately made 3-4 draws of artwork / wallpapers for my own mod. How nice of gestures are that?
    - Humbleness: Their modification was never put into their own Hosted Modifications sub-forum, but into the WIP section, even AoB is much more advanced than most of the mods who were placed into the more prominent and own sub-forum above. You can see this here. Upon asking if they would like to consider to put it up, they said that they are comfortable with its current place and don't rush to put it up.
    - Collaboration: Last but not least the entire modding team offered to collaborate on future terms and exchange models and textures if ever needed. Another sign of an awesome team agreeing to work open source even if their mod was not officially released already. This is the kind of mindset and working atmosphere every modder dreams of.

Even we haven't worked together just yet, all those signs are just a no brainer to leave this guys without their badge. In my eyes, the entire team is extremely skilled, supportive and even they are extremely nice and humble, they do all deserve the Artifex badge and it is a surprise they do not inhabit it already. No doubt here from my side. I think honoring their mindset is a simple gesture from ourselves and with a citizenship the AoB crew could add to the TWC community and open new doors of networking with other citizens.

Convince yourself of their great work here: Total War: Age of Bronze - Previews Thread

Brivime's Passage I. Why I wants to be a Citizen:

I think the whole Age of Bronze team has come far from where we started, most of us were just spectators who saw the mod in Ideas & Proposals and found small ways to help it become a reality within our talents at the time, I personally started out helping with faction research. Pretty soon most of us started taking on great heights experimenting with texture work and making units on PFM. It was a struggle for all of us at first since we had very little modding experience, I simply started out re-texturing ROME I units for my own personal use and didn't get much farther than that until I found Age of Bronze. I believe being made a citizen is a recognition of how far I have come and how far we have yet to go, likewise for the whole AOB team.

II. How I found TWC and joined up:

I found TWC whilst looking for Medieval II Total War mods and realized there was so much more this site had to offer, I joined up and was mostly a spectator in the ROME I modding scene, I offered input where I found it fit and started learning to mod, I edited other mods for personal use. Age of Bronze has been the first proper mod I am involved with.

III. What activities I get up to on TWC and areas I like to post in:

I am mostly involved with modding for ROME 2 Total War, my modding journey started with Age of Bronze and I am now also helping the Medieval Kingdoms team with their Middle Eastern factions. I focus on research for pre-Islamic and Medieval Arab civilizations, their cultures, linguistic developments and what they would have dressed and fought like.

I'm sure there will be plenty more to do as the ROME 2 modding scene grows.

IV. What difference I'd like to make to the site by becoming a Citizen:

I'm still learning a lot of new things but I have come far from where I started. I would like to help out aspiring modders where ever I can so they too can get the support and much needed help I got when I was starting out. As we all know, modding isn't the easiest thing to ease into especially for some one with no prior experience. I feel like being a Citizen would give me an edge in doing this because all those fancy badges might make me look a bit more experienced than I would without 'em. ;-P

Dontfearme22's Passage Why do I want to become a Citizen on Twcenter?

I would like to become a Citizen because I feel I could contribute to the great community on Twcenter by helping to discuss bills, contributing to discussions in the Symposium and Curia, or by helping other Twcenter modders achieve a high level of quality that’s beneficial to them and this website as a whole.

Total War games have always been a part of my life, I remember chasing down Parthians in the first Rome total war, conquering provinces in Empire total war, or battling Iberians in Rome II. I found Twcenter several years ago, I was playing Rome total war extensively and I wanted to seek out other people as passionate about it as I was. After a quick google search, I visited Twcenter for the first time. I found on that day a devoted and hardworking community, a group of disparate individuals brought together by a common love of history and Total War. For a few months I was a lurker, I popped in, surfed previews of my favorite Rome total war mods or Medieval II mods and then left.
I joined Twcenter as a member after I was surfing a Medieval II discussion, and I saw someone had a signature that said “Maya Total War”. At that time I had a deep passion for Pre-Columbian history, and I immediately visited its page in the WIP section. This mod captured my attention, and I decided to quickly get an account and help them complete their vision. Sadly, this mod died out several years ago, but it showed me that I could actually join this community and contribute to it. Now after a few years of leaving Twcenter by the wayside to focus on other subjects, I found Age of Bronze and it has captured my attention since then.

On Twcenter, I spend my time split between answering questions and private messages about AoB, I also like to help users on the Workshop area of Rome II who are new and need help taking that first step into modding and monitoring the AoB thread. Every once in a while I detour into other mods and I see what other modders are doing. Even if I don’t own the games anymore I still like to visit the old Rome and Medieval II forums, simply to see the great things people are still accomplishing there after almost a decade.

This is such a great community, through it I have learned how to research, how to be respectful and honest, through Twcenter I have learned not only how to become a better modder, and I would like to think I have become also a better person. I would be deeply honored if you would grant me Citizenship, and I would promise to be a upstanding and gracious member of this great community, so many other aspiring modders like me could experience the same warmth and hospitality I received all those years ago.

Türkenlouis' Passage* I think , I dont need it.

I `m just using TW center for posting and writing messages . and thats all what I need ^^

*He is just a paragon of humbleness I guess haha, he did tell me that he needs one day to think about it and see what it is about and than wrote me back. I did include his message here as well, since I think he still deserves it. What do you think of his burner reply? Should we still include him or should I remove his name from this citizenship proposal?

I really hate to rain on your parade alec, but you need to wait until September 25th in order be allowed to patronise. There is a constitutional three month threshold for patrons.
Come September 25th, post the application threads, one for each candidate, in the Quaestiones Perpetuae forum please.

That being said, in case you're eager to see these three being brought forth, and in case you don't mind not being their patron, you could ask other citizens (who have been citizens for three months) to patronise them.

    Sorry mate

I do not mind NOT being the patron at all I will search for a new patron than in case you do not want to patronize them yourself. They do really deserve it and me being a freshmen should not hinder them to be able to get the badge themselves.

PS: I am sorry not reading the constitution, its like general terms and conditions. I rarely read them. ^^

Not a problem, learning by doing works as well, we're here to help

With regards to patronisation, I'm sorry but I'm neither privy with the applicants, nor with the mod and I don't have the time to get involved as I should be with regards to being their patron, so I have to decline.

Actually, thats fine. I know who is very familiar with those guys It's their lead designer so I guess we will have a new patron here. Do we need to conduct a new proposal and delete this?

You only need to state that you abandon this in this thread. The Curator or one of his assistants will then file this.

I can archive this if you like. I'll leave it be for the moment. If you haven't sorted it out with a patron in a couple days then I'll move this to the Curia main rather than the archives so that others can still see it and check them out if they're so inclined.

Yes, you can archive this. I will sort this out with a new patron soon! Still waiting for the reply and a new proposal would be ready to go.
