    Surrender Roll:

Assuming that their are only 500 defenders and no levy (if there is then i will need to reroll this), the surrender roll will be based as follows.

    Basic Roll: 5/20
Modifiers: +10 for being significantly outnumbered.
    Final Roll: 15/20

Rolled a 13, the Lord of the city just barely agrees to surrender to spare his city from an attack.

Kleandros has all the Nobles give up their first born sons as Hostages to be raised in his Courts and continues to move his forces to the next province. This is but the first in many victories to come!

Kleandros now comes upon the township of Alexandria on the Indus. Yet another reminder of the Alexander's grand attempt to bring the civilized world to the East, yet another bastion of western influence that Kleandros wanted. More Macedonian and Greek manpower to add to his growing influence in the region. This would mark him as the undisputed master of all of the east, one step closer to his goal of repairing the schism.

Kleandros calls for the lord of this city to surrender lest they face the overwhelming force he has brought to them. Kleandros would spare the lives of all if they submitted now and even promised to keep certain lords in power. This was their opportunity to join with him and gain glory for themselves instead of becoming only a footnote in his grand campaign.

You can choose to fight a battle against them or try to convince them again (only allowed because the roll was so close to being accepted).

Diadotus comes riding with a troop of Sogdian warriors, only there to protect him in the hostile land. "Kleandros! The Chorasmian Satrapy has subjected to your rule without bloodshed! But the Persian Shah Artobyzus is starting to claim all lands west of us. If he's allowed to continue, he might gather enough Persians around him to pose a serious threat."

Kleandros, on horse back at the heart of his army glares at Diodatus. "What in Athena's wisdom do you mean Diadotus? You have done well but why do you fear the Persian? The lands of Persia might be vast but they are spent of all manpower. No matter how large, we will always be larger. I will not break a pact that we have between one another. He offered me peace and I accepted it. Unless he is a dishonorable man, which i doubt, we have nothing to fear. And we ourselves have subjugated more territories than he ever could. Soon, soon we will be more powerful than anyone else in this part of the world. "

Diadotus frowned, what had lead to Kleandros lashing out unprovoked. "He sent an envoy to Marakanda, to demand that we retreat from Chorasmia or else he promised conflict would come. Is that part of the peace he has offered you? It is your land and your conquest he's threatening, my lord, as his envoy was glad to say, I am naught but your pawn."

Kleandros shakes his head in disappointment. He calls out once more, for the sake of all the people within that they must surrender lest they face the unrelenting forces his posses. He cannot guarantee the safety of the non-combatants. If he refuses once more, he will not spare any nobility and will loot the city. If they accept surrender, the original offer will still stand.

    Surrender/Submission Roll:

    Basic Roll: 5/20 roll
Modifiers: +3 for outnumbering them 4 to 1, +4 for generous terms/death threats if they continue to resist.
    Final Roll: 12/20

Rolled an 11 (again ), the Lord of Province 104 (Insert name here) is compelled to surrender after the additional provocations.

Kleandros breaths a sigh of relief that the lord of this land had seen reason. He spared the lives of many this day, for that reason alone Kleandros would let him keep his life. He would take the first-borns of each noble family to be raised at court, this for every province he conquered. It would ensure the loyalties of the local lords as well as cement future relations.

Kleandros disbands his forces and disseminates guard groups for each newly acquired province. Kleandros had grown tired and required time to organize such a large kingdom he had acquired in such a short time.
