Army Composition
Diadotus invites the Satrap of the land to discuss terms.
The leader of the satrap appears before Diadotus dressed in full armor and ready to fight a battle. "Name your terms."
Diadotus respected the man instantly. He had been appointed by Alexander after all. "I represent Kleandros who rules in the east, whose goal is repairing the broken Empire under his name. I would allow you to keep your position as Satrap, given by Alexander, if you recognize Kleandros as the Great King's inheritor and swear your loyalty to him. Refuse and I'll make sure to find and destroy you, who would be responsible for the unnecessary bloodshed that would come from us doing battle. Even if you by a miracle rout my army, know that this is but less than a third of all Kleandros' might. He would return with an army to swallow this land whole and show you much less mercy than what I offer you now."
Surrender/Capitulation Roll:
Basic Roll: 5/20 chance
Modifiers: +3 for outnumbering them by a roughly 4 to 1 margin. +2 for giving fairly generous terms
Final Roll: 10/20
Rolled a 5, with some hestiation, the Lord of the Satrapy is willing to accept the terms and surrenders to Diadotus.
Making sure the former enemies, now subjects, have disbanded, Diadotus encamped his army by the Caspian Sea as to leave an iron heel on their neck and returned to Bactria to inform his king of the conquest.
