Re: Binding the Desert Sands
Gonna roll if they will accept your request to speak with their leader.
Range: 10/20
Modifiers: +1 for Imhotep's strength, +1 for denying Antigonus, +1 for being Native Egyptian.
New Range: 13/20 (1 - 13, Accept; 14 - 20; Not Accepted)
Result: 3, the ruler of this small nation curiously accepts the delegations
Go ahead and make your proposal/argument.

Re: Binding the Desert Sands
The emissary bows to the ruler of these desert tribes. Your people are fierce and the lands you call home unforgiving, but in times such as these, when Greeks claim to be Pharaoh and great armies march from the south we cannot stand alone - at least we cannot expect to survive if we do. The Greek attempted to demand homage from my master Imhotep, but he has refused - no doubt they will soon come after you if they haven't already, and blades will surly follow these poisoned words. My master bides that as strong and proud peoples of these lands we call home you bind your strength to Thebes, to his strength - together we can give pause to those who would brand themselves enemies of Egypt and defend the place we all call home.

Re: Binding the Desert Sands
Gonna roll to see how convincing the emissary's speech is
Range: 10/20
Modifiers: +1 for Imhotep's strength, +1 for denying Antigonus, +1 for being Native Egyptian, -2 due to Antigonid legitimacy, -2 due to the strength of Antigonids, -2 ongoing Nubian revolt
New Range: 7/20 (1 - 7, Accept; 8 - 20; Not Accepted)
Result: 4, the ruler is convinced by the emissary
Fortune smiles! Despite the low range, you managed to snag them!
The ruler in question listens to the words of the emissary. His was the King of the Desert Tribes, a collection of Libyan people joined under him. He nods in agreement with the proposition granted.
Just as there is a Pharaoh of Lower Egypt, there shall be one of Upper Egypt. We shall obey your master and submit to him. Our troops shall be ready to fight against the Nubians that threaten your border.
