http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...ansion-Patches is the last updated list.
I don't know but being EUcentric, I'd try one of these. They didn't release a EU Gold patch so it's guess and be damned.Patch 1.5 UK GOLD version mirrors:
FilePlanet: http://www.fileplanet.com/185629/180...-UK-Patch-v1.5
Strategy Informer: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/m...tch/23149.html
Gamershell: http://www.gamershell.com/download_24606.shtml
WorthPlaying: http://www.worthdownloading.com/down...=2528&id=14612
I tried and downloaded the uk version from this forum.http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Download-Links
Then the patch wanted the disc. When I put the disc the patch did nothing. What should I do?
Assuming Vista, Win 7, 8, 8.1, disable the UAC. It's a thorn in this game's side.
UAC,is important in my computer. Also I have Win 7. Can I make something different to solve my problem?
Take ownership/control of C: drive.
UAC, are there more than you using the computer? Or on a school/uni network?
I don't understand what do you mean. Please explain it to me more simply.
Let's see if this helps. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Store-Problems
Instead of disable UAC and virtual store I removed the security concerns about my medieval 2 total war install. It is the third solution in that post. Can this help me download the patch?
It may depending on where you trying to download it from.
If a school or dorm has the site blocked, you will to deal with their Admins.
Then in which site should I download the patch?
For my US copy I used gameshell. It and strategyinformer seem to be the most stable.
So If I download them from your US copy and strtegyinformer, the patch will work?
US Gold version won't work for you.
The UK Gold version from either gamershell or strategyinformer have the best chance to work.
The owners of fileplanet by whatever name it goes by now has half the known world blocked. There is a list here on the site of the countries it has blocked.
But when I downloaded it from gamershell,it didn't work, without removing the security concerns abou my medieval 2 total war.
The game is old enough it hates, yes read hates, those security concerns. You are dealing with a computer program that is written on visual studio 2003 and 2005, .Net 3 and Kingdoms 3.5, and directx9 when Vista and its BS was still on Microsoft's drawing board. It knows zero about .Net 4 or dx10/11 or the UAC and could care less.
If you want to play the game with the patch you play by the game's rules, not Microsoft's.
I can still use some programs older than Medieval2 on Win 7 but compatibility issues are a pain.
What is the language or Sega location on the game box?
The language is english and the location is in europe.
UK patch should work then.
Like it or not if you are the only one using the computer, some have had to resort to not only disabling the UAC and taking ownership of C: drive but also installing the game in a folder like C:\Games. Not 100% foolproof but helps.
If you are sharing the computer, you may need to be talking to the other(s) using it first.
Well I will download the UK patch from gamershell or strategyinformer?
