Default Antigonus' attempt to rule the land

A group of riders arrive to Ammonium, they are followed by charts, filled to the top.
They deliver this message to the ruler of the two provinces adjacent to Antigonus' realm, written in Egyptian and Greek, one of the messengers is a priest of Path:

    To the ruler of Ammonium:

In the name of Amun-Re, the Creator, the Invisible, the Breath of Life. I've been appointed as King and God in Memphis, Useermatre-Nebra Ramesse-Merynetjeru, following the ancestral and ancient customs of the Nile; I have smitten the enemies with my mace, my arm led by Amun-Re and Sekhmet; I have circumbalated the city of Memphis, as is customary, and claimed the kingship; I have being appointed as Lord of the Segde and the Bee by the High Priest of Path, crowned with the two crowns by Seth and Horus at Memphis. I have showered with presents the Holy Temple of Amun-Re at Thebbes and erected several obelisks in the Gods' glory. I desire that all the country recognizes me as pharaoh of the Black Land, of the Nile, thus I send you this message, shall you recognize me as pharaoh and join me you shall be recognized as satrap of your provinces, and be rewarded by your friendship and loyalty. I send as well those charts filled with presents to Amun-Re, to your holiest oracle and temple, so he shall be benign an bestow his blessings. Only Peace and Prosperity will reign if you recognize my rule as Pharaoh, for I shall defeat the foes of land and vanish them to their barbarian homes, keeping the sanctity and peace of Egypt. Maat shall rule over the land if you recognize me, for my objective is to preserve and protect the Maat.
    -------------------------------------

A similar group of riders arrive to Amunia, a poor fishing village, but still the major "city" of the land. Poor lands, poorer inhabitants, scarcely populated, but still needed to control the whole country. They, the impressive hetaroi, Egyptian priests and Macedonian courtiers, deliver a similar message, written in Greek and Egyptian.

    To the ruler of Amunia

I send as well those charts filled with presents to you and the gods.
The messengers shower the ruler with presents, something never seen in the poor land.

    ------------------

Similar messages arrive to rest of the rulers of those provinces still not under Antigonus rule.

ooc: I have no idea who rules over 58 and 59, or over what he rules.

    ------------------

ooc: To the rolls I want some things taken in consideration: Amunia is poor and weak, it could be easily turned, as the ruler is promised a position far beyond his possibilities, and they should want to avoid a bloodshed. Second, related to Ammonium, Antigonus has been blessed and his rule recognized in Memphis, he follows the local customs and respect their gods as they were his, also they would lack the power to face Antigonus and the riches showered upon the temple are more than enough to impress and convince the priests of the Amun's temple. Finally, they recognized eagerly Alexander and Antigonus is sort of his successor, that should have positive results on the rolls. 58 and 59 are as well backwater provinces with little population and cities, weak compared to Lower Egypt, present and offers of reward, including being appointed satrap and honored by Antigonus would suffice.

Default Re: Antigonus' attempt to rule the land

I will add on the following modifiers:
    +1 for accepting culture
    +1 for accepting religion
+2 for being recognized as a legitimate ruler of Egypt
+1 for legitimate successor of Alexander over Egypt

But there will be a negative modifier. -2 for Nubian Uprising

    Province 54:

    Starting Range: 10/20
Modifiers: +1 for accepting culture, +1 for accepting religion, +2 for legitimate ruler, +1 for legitimate successor, +2 for a minor ruler, -2 for Nubian Uprising
    New Range: 15/20 (1 - 15, Accept; 16 - 20, Unaccepted)
Result: 5, Province 54 submits to the will of Pharaoh Antigonus and accepts his overlordship

    Provinces 50 and 55:
    Starting Range: 10/20
Modifiers: +1 for accepting culture, +1 for accepting religion, +2 for legitimate ruler, +1 for legitimate successor, -2 for Nubian Uprising
    New Range: 13/20 (1 - 13, Accept; 14 - 20, Unaccepted)
Result: 8, Province 50 and 55 submit to the will of the Pharaoh Antigonus and accepts his overlordship

    Provinces 58 and 59:
    Starting Range: 10/20
Modifiers: +1 for accepting culture, +1 for accepting religion, +2 for legitimate ruler, +1 for legitimate successor, -2 for Nubian Uprising
    New Range: 13/20 (1 - 13, Accept; 14 - 20, Unaccepted)
Result: 15, Provinces 58 and 59 refuse to accept Antigonus as the Pharaoh.

Three provinces recognize the authority of Antigonus and praise him as their Pharaoh. As such, three provinces join the Antigonid realm. Only the southern domain refuses to recognize him as their ruler.

This ensures that Antigonus is the ruler of Lower Egypt. The entirety of it.

Default Re: Antigonus' attempt to rule the land

The sun was high in sky when Antigonus himself arrived to Ammonium. His whole guard of companions, numbering eight hundred, escorted the King on his way to the oracle of Amun-Re. They all wore petasus, kausias, chlamys and short tunics. The King rode at the head of his retinue, his golden hair shining under the sun, wearing a diadem (a simple strip of cloth) on his head as symbol of majesty. His tunic was purple, made of silk and embroidered with gold.

Before the temple of Amun-Re, the recognized ruler of all lands between Gaza and the desert, dismounts. Swiftly many priests exit the temple, eager to welcome their new ruler and overlord, like they received Alexander not long ago.

"Welcome you, Lord of the Sedge and the Bee, of the Lower and the Upper Egypt, Useermatre-Nebra Ramesse-Merynetjeru"

    Antigonus nods respectfully:

"Great Priest of Amun, I want to hear the voice of our God"

"As Iskander, Alexander Megas, the Liberator, the son of Amun-Re, did before you. Come and pass, enter the temple and hear the sacred words of the divinity"

Antigonus, tall and imposing, his head like molten gold, enters the temple surrounded by the bald and swarthy priests, people of the desert.

    --------------------------

And hour later, Antigonus, a relief for his guardsmen waiting outside under the merciless sun of Egypt, exits the temple, while the priests sing hymns and chants, glorious and imposing.

The priest steps forward, to speak the crowd of inhabitants and the guardsmen:

"The God, Amun-Re, has spoken again, has whispered in our ears, and his word, divine, is the following"

The Priest grabs Antigonus by the shoulder:

"Useermatre-Nebra Ramesse-Merynetjeru, crowned at Memphis is not a mere mortal, but Horus, possessed and inspired his father, Antiochus Filopator, during the intercourse with his mother, from that union, sacred, was born our Lord, Lord of the Black Land, of the Sedge and the Bee. Here it is the son of a god, son of the Sun, keeper of order and prosperity, Horus-Apollo iincarnated and made flesh"

The local Egyptians cheered their King, the guardsmen cheer as well, but knowing that those things were needed to rule over the barbarians and legitimize his rule. Antigonus' hair shone like molted gold. He in fact looked as a golden man, a god.

The news were soon sent to the whole land of Egypt, North and South, for the word of Ammunion's oracle weighted heavy.
