    Default Macedonians in Babylon.

Now that Parmenion began his reign in Babylon he organised festivities to appease the local populace. On the evening of the festivities Parmenion visited various local temples to Ahura and visited the holy fire of the temple where Parmenion asked to Ahura to grant him the permission to have a happy and prosperous reign.

'Ahura mazda, i come here to bring peace and prosperity for the Mesopotamian people, oh Ahura may you grant me your benevolent permission the rule these beautiful countries shaped by you?'

When he finished with speaking he turned to the royal palace and ordened a decree to be written to appease the local populace :

'By this decree i grant freedom to the people of babylon. They shall not be harmed or be insulted by other people, if it still happens then they will have to face punishment by Law.
By law i declare your religion to be legitimate and your local temple's to remain open, any harm done even by my brother will be severly punished.
By law i accept all of your old traditions to be legitimate.'
By law you are allowed to make suggestions to the goverment to improve life in Baylon, do not be afraid of prosecution.

And so a new book with new laws and rights got written and spread out to the populace, Parmenion hopefully will get approval of the populace to rule harmonious over Babylon.

OOC: Your roll for the local's opinion involves new rules that give an acknowledgment to the people you rule as well as an acceptance towards Zoroastrianism correct?

Were the efforts enough to please the Babylonians?

    Base Roll: 10/20

    Modifiers:
    Festivities +1
Acknowledgement and acceptance of their religion +2
    Just laws declared +1
    Foreign Dynasty (event) -1

    New range: 13/20 (1-13 accepted, 14-15 neutral, 16-20 unaccepted)

    Rolled: 20

Due to the bad roll, a severity roll will be added to see how much revolt risk you get this year. The roll will be 1-10, with 1 = 10% and 10 = 100%. Anything above 50% is a direct revolt, with 50% as a minor revolt and 100% as the whole country rising up against you.

    Rolled: 6

The Babylonians are not at all pleased with Parmenion, seeing him as a mere foreign fool trying to imitate a king. The new laws are gathered and burned all over the realm in local fire temples as a sign of their defiance to the new dynasty. Riots break out in the major cities and armed mobs gather on the countryside. A council of local nobles has declared one of them the true King of Babylon, and have gathered most of the opposition against the foreign dynasty.

The Foreign Dynasties event continues, but you get a 60% added to your yearly revolt risk and a minor revolt breaks out in your kingdom. 5,000 men (10% Cav, 20% Heavy, 70% Light) equally spread out over your four provinces are raised, doing everything in their power to spread the support for their cause. If not dealt with quickly, the rebels will gain more support next year.

Parmenion is enraged. When he heard this news he vowed to crush this rebellion with military power. Quickly he called for an internal council with prominent members of the royal family and important members of the army. The atmosphere is frightening due to the past events and the king's mood is explosive.

'Filthy persians, how dare they to oppose my right to rule? I will exterminate those who have rebelled and use full force to destroy everything that is Persian, starting with Babylon'
    Parmenion

'Laughable, how can they rise up to us after what we have done for these inferior persians?
    Anathasia

'Is the army ready for the counterattack?'-
    Parmenion

'it is, i suggest we immediatly attack the rebels to prevent the rebellion growing stronger'-
    Chrysogonus

'Those persians will suffer for this act, i am their king, if they want it or not they will face it in the near future'-
    parmenion

'They are persian, an ungrateful kind of people, If they do not accept us then we should not accept their customs, demoralise them, burn their temple's, execute their high priests, they must know that a rebellion will not go unpunished - Anathasia

'We will start our campaign in Babylon , I myself will lead the Elite troops while you my brother Chrysogonus will lead the cavalry, while my son leads the light troops. We will show no mercy to the traitors and rebels to start in Babylon,' Parmenion

And so Parmenion ordered his army to crush the rebels in Babylon with no mercy.

After a week of gathering their forces, the Persian pretender, calling himself King Artaxerxes VI, marched with all his forces to Babylon. Now the barbaric Greek would feel the wrath of the sons of the greatest empire to ever exist.
