How to mod armies movement on camp. map

I dislike the fact that armies move so slow on the campaign map. I want to make the armies on the campaign map move farthur each turn so i can get things done quicker. I just wanted to know if this was possible and if so how can i go about changing it to my liking.

Its actually very simple, in data folder there is a file called "descr_character.txt" in this you will see immediately under the commented section

starting_action_points 80

just change the figure in bold to something higher to allow armies etc. to move further....
You'll have to experiment to find setting you like.
