    Default Yes I know it's a demo

This doesn't mean that I am not willing to share some concerns I have seen in the demo, hoping they won't show up in the game itself. If they have fix it by then and my post wasn't necessary then we will go by the old saying "better to have a gun and not have to use then not have on and have to use it"

I am concerned about the musketmen continously Rotating to face the enemy on sight by themselves. I don't like that... I noticed archers don't do it. Has anyone else noticed this? Also do we really need to see the projectiles heading to the enemies? reminds me of slingers.

So you want all your handgunners to shoot eachother in the back?

If the formation didn't move, and the men moved individually, you'd have some serious friendly-fire problems.

Edit: On second thought. I'm wrong. I wasn't thinking before my fingers started moving. Sorry. Because only the men in the front row in relation to the enemy fire. They're not that stupid. But even then, it's better for them to move.

yes, and if you dont want them to rotate and only be able to shoot straight ahead, doesnt guard mode keep them in place?

They are already in guard mode by default, check your options when you start.

If I wanted them to rotate I would do it myself I wouldn't have them do it automatically.

You know, I remember them doing this in MTW as well...always a pain to have stay in a nice line.

doesnt matter much to me, I wont ever build a single musketeer unit in the entire campaign. Not medieval enough for me.

I noticed this too. My unit equipped with guns decided for some reason to shoot at an enemy unit that had clashed way down at the other end of my battle line. So the formation wheeled aroun 90 degrees and half of them walked out beyond my front line (they were originally second row) and were slaughtered. Annoying to say the least.

The MTW gunners were highly innacurate but now they are non-historical.

Is this something that could be modded, because I found it annoying with my gunners wheeling all about as if they were on a merry go round.

I've posted this before in other threads, but it relates to here too

    about the demo:

I don't think they had the guns working right when the demo came out, and I think they will have it fixed by now.

hope that rests some of your fears.

I hope that it's fixed too because I love gun units, and from some of the unit descriptions I have seen, there are units that I had wanted more than anything in MTW but couldn't make:

Hybrid gunners! gun units that are also good at hand to hand combat, so they can form part of your defensive line, then when the enemy reaches the line (after being decimated by musket fire) are soundly defeated by the gunners, who now outnumber them because of their volleys!

In MTW arquebusiers were so inaccurate that they were basically worthless.
You are partially right, because I did find that I had to turn up the accuracy of guns some in the PROJECTILESTATS file, but they weren't meant to be as deadly as bows or crossbows (except when very close), but to damage the morale of the enemy. I found that if I had 4-5 arq's firing at the enemy army, their attack would waiver and sometimes break before even reaching my lines!

Sure, early arquebuses really weren't perfectly accurate, but if they did suck as much as they did in MTW, you have to wonder why people switched over to gunpowder weapons at all.
