    Default Fix for turn 15 crash found :)

    Okay so it's been said a few times that a possible cause for this crash is that the Zola spawn is too complex, so I've simplified it a bit so the turn 15 invasion is spread out a bit more over 3 turns, so instead of 12 separate armies spawning at once during the first event this has been reduced to about 5, and for then next two turns it will be 4. Now this for me has significantly lowered the loading it takes for the event to finish. I now believe that the edit actually does fix the crash

    Here is the file, it's located within the zola file simply place this file into Hyrule>data>world>maps>campaign>imperial campaign.
    Note this will overwrite any saves you have.

    Now I realise that is virtually impossible to read or understand, so if people want to pm me their e-mail and I just send them the file direct then please feel free.

    I'd be willing to try it out, but I've already deleted my Turn 15 saves (not that they'd work anyway). I'll have to get around to testing it to see if it occurs again (I've only just experienced it for the first time last week), and then try it with your fix.

    I just got the turn 15 crash again playing as Kokiri, so we can confirm that wasn't a one time thing when I got it last. I want to get the error report/log whatever posted before I try your fix. Any idea where I can find it?

    If you go into the medieval vanilla folders and go to logs one of them should give a description of why, use the bottom document that's the one I use

    hmmmm I'm not really sure, it looks like it's missing some files for an earthquake, but I'm not sure if that could cause a crash or not.

    Well, either I screwed something up, or there is a fatal flaw to this.

    Nobody gets their Turn 2 spawns in. I tried it as Kokiri and Gorons, and I can confirm that there was no Turn 15 Crash, but I can also confirm that nobody gets heroes or starting armies on Turn 2.

    It might just be a slight error from when it was pasted in, that sometimes happens if there is one tiny thing wrong with the code, it's most likely that there isn't a space or comma in the right place. If you still feel like it, would you rather pm your e-mail and I send you my file direct or by drop box whichever you prefer. But if u don't want to then I understand, I appreciate that you tried it at least.

    Tbh if a second attempt doesn't work I may just give up and move on to something else, looking back on it now it was quite stupid for me to attempt to fix a bug I don't have.

    Okay, I've just made the very obvious discovery that I could have just compressed the file into a zip , Big mistake on my part Drazule, sorry that I've made this so difficult I really appreciate it though.

    Okay inside this zip will be a folder open said fodlder and the campaign script will be inside, simply place into your imperial campaign folder and it should work like a dream.

    I'd recommend changing the title of the thread to Confirmed and/or posting this file to one of the bug fix threads now that it works.

    So, is the fix simply having the River Zora spawn spread out over several turns?

    The fix will be helpful for those who experience the crash, but I need specifics on what stuff does before I release the Community Patch later today.

    The patch spreads the spawning from one turn to two or three. Ted would know better, but pretty much it takes the stress off of having all Zola spawn in one turn. It only should change the Zola Spawn script if done correctly (which I wasn't capable of on my own).

    In the instance of Kokiri crashing, which was the only faction I've ever experienced this with, it worked.

    Basically @sirmark Drazule summed it up perfectly really, the reason it crashed was because of a huge amount of strain, as you pointed out, due to the fact that 12 separate, quite large armies all spawn at once and then attack a a settlement each. So to simplify this, the Zola now attack in three waves. It's the exact same armies the same units, same settlements attacked, except now on turn 15 only 5 armies spawn, 16 and 17 only have 4 armies spawn.

    Good finally found this thread. Thanks for the fix, I have a Zola save file I am currently playing so I think I will wait to install this for the other factions. It will invalidate your save files right?
