    Are the next versions going to change the way elves and dark elves work?
    Seems very stupid to have ultra expensive units and no ways to get a proper income at the beginning.They are powerful i agree but you get overwhelmed by the other factions if you dont capture settlements early.

    Also the elite units AI stacks are annoying really.Not that you cant take them on but they're just too many also.

    There are tutorials on how to play as the Elves. I see your point tho, it's a pretty hard and unfamiliar style to play but also quite fun.

    This mod is everything but easy. It's not for the inexperienced. ( Not implying you're. )

    I really like the armies the AI gets.. it offers a real challenge and it always feels good if you beat them. Unlike most stacks of peasant the AI normally trains.
    I agree on the amount tho, some AI factions get to many of them and a little to early in the game. However most spawns are based on Lore events and well it's kinda the Warhammer atmosphere.

    However there are people working on Sub-mods, for example the Sandbox Submod by Ziame. ( For those who don't like the limitations and AI spawns )

    High Elves have it easier now that the early game insta-siege stacks they had to face once have been removed (or it's a bug, the end result is the same anyway). The Storm of Chaos tends to avoid their starting territories, and hey, facing overwhelming odds is supposed to be bread and butter for the elves. Their initial treasury runs out quickly, though. It took me about 50 turns to get a positive income, with Archaon just around the corner. I didn't do much conquering in that period; 3-4 settlements tops. Making their troops cheaper wouldn't help much when you have negative money. But once the gold starts rolling in, it does so quickly. One trick is to take Erengrad as soon as Kislev loses it, you can squeeze about 10000 per turn from it if you build up the trading port. It's also a good idea to upgrade your barracks at the beginning of the campaign so you can get Swordmasters as a mission reward.

    I might write a little unit guide for them in the near future. Much of it should apply to the Druchii as well.

    I dont find them very hard,just annoying,too many elite units lurking about,even 7 generals in a stack.At least you can sandwich most of them even if you lose your stack but no matter how many you kill there are plenty more around.

    However,autoresolving battles with Heir Vauroth while playing as Druchii seems to be effective,lost like 400 soldiers < 1500 he soldiers dead.

    There should be a switcher or something that modifies the playstyle of the both elven factions,just like chaos and empire work.
    It would also be convenient for the Slaanesh faction to get DE units as Khorne has chaos dwarves.

    Oh god yes, and the other way around.
    The option for the Dark Elves shouldn't be whether or not to ally with Slaanesh, but rather it should be: obey Morathi. Morathi is already allied with Slaaneshi tribes (before she started to invade Lustria), it's then from Morathi that you get units like the Devoted of Slaanesh (basically witches but cooler) and Druchii anointed (basically chaos lords, but cooler) and that way reinforcements can be recruited from chaos regions, like Slaanesh marauders and warriors but most importantly: Daemons.

    Now I don't see why there should be DE units in any Slaanesh army?
    Has nobody read the Storm of Chaos Army lists?

    Most of what you suggest can be modified in the campaign_script and/or descr_strat files. It's actually easy to do and if you only want to modify stuff for the elven factions then it won't take too long. You don't have to ask the dev to change their mod to fit your taste when you can edit things yourself.
    Now I don't see why there should be DE units in any Slaanesh army? It's like having goblins in a dwarven army or orcs in an army of Gondor in LOTR. But of course you're free to do so for you.

    the same reason chaos dwarf blunderbuss and warriors are in the khorne army

    werent the war machines the only thing the chaos dwarves gave to archaon?those are mannedby dwarves but those dwarves do not go chop chop with their axes

    One tip if you play as HE is to take your starting units on a boat to Marienburg and take it. That will nett you 10000-15000 easy each turn

    that doesnt apply for the druchii tho

    not even when slaanesh backstabs me in the second turn after signing the alliance with them
    chaos dwarves killed my orc shaman general in the 50th turn right after he spawned so the AI is not under a forced diplomacy script and doesnt need any diplomat to dagger you

    If you take the settlements surrounding Marienburg as Druchii or other non allied faction you could get 8k+ gold.I guess that would do.
