The Chambers of Lord Petyr Baelish, Master of Coin

Master Petyr Baelish was invited by King Robert I Baratheon himself to serve on the Small Council as Master of Coin an offer that he readily accepted. Master Petyr created a personal sigil for himself after coming to King's Landing in the shape of a mockingbird. The sigil now decorates the walls of this room.

    Biography of Petyr Baelish
Biography: Heir to Midlor Point. Short and slender, handsome with sharp features, grey-green eyes, a small soul patch beard and dark hair. Petyr was raised by Lord Hoster Tully and has become a friend of his children. He was given the nick name “Littlefinger” by the Tully children as a reference to his House’s small holdings and where he was born. The boy grew to possess little martial strength but excelled at intellectual activities. After some time Petyr Baelish came to love Catelyn Tully, after her betrothal to Kennet Stark, Petyr Baelish challenged him to a duel for her hand but lost, suffering severe wounds in the process. His short sword was taken by Kennet Stark and likely disposed of. After the duel Petyr recovering from both his wounds and severe depression at Riverrun under the care of Lysa Tully. Lysa Tully was sent to the Eyrie to marry Lord Jon Arryn and her sister Catelyn Tully is now the wife of Lord Bayard Stark. Petyr left Riverrun with his wounds almost healed and returned back to his family. After meeting Lord Jon Arryn he was appointed to the position of Master of Coin and Head of Trade for the Vale where he immediately raised the income of the Vale. His talents become known and he was asked by King Robert I Baratheon to serve as Master of Coin for the Iron Throne an offer Petyr accepted. As a result of his new position Petyr created his own sigil in the shape of a mockingbird.

    Master of Coin
    - Being responsible for the King's finances and record keeping gives the Master of Coin some perks. He can make the following rolls once each year:
-- Embellish money: Roll a 1d20, 1-5 the roll fails, and evidence is left of the attempt. 6-15 it fails, but is covered up. 16-20 it succeeds. If successful, receive 1d20*2000 Dragons.
-- Fabricate fraud: Roll a 1d20, 1-5 the roll fails, and evidence is left of the attempt. 6-15 it fails, but is covered up. 16-20 it succeeds. If successful, a document showing Tax Fraud on the target is produced.
-- Each point into the "Income" trait gives a +1 modifier to the rolls.
-- In event of a 1-5 roll, the evidence can be collected by a successful spy roll on the Master of Coin searching for evidence of foul play. The Master of Coin is encouraged to ask for these rolls via PM to prevent metagaming against him.

    Biography of Ryella Baelish

Biography: Daughter to Marwyn and her now deceased Lysene mother Serra Baelish. After some careful tutelage from her uncle Andar, Ryella unlike her father seems more focused on intellectual goals. She is quite an introverted person preferring to spend her time inside reading, as a result she is quite pale and has become a quiet person. She is still a maiden. The only time she travels around the Vale is to expand her library though others including her father often bring her new books making it unnecessary to do so. She has blonde hair and grey eyes. She is slim and short but is quite buxom. She originally worked at The Eyrie helping her aunt as a serving maid but was promoted to income collector for The Vale for Petyr Baelish. After Petyr took up the position of Master of Coin she moved to King's Landing with him and now acts as his spymaster. Ryella, wears her cousin's mockingbird sigil and it is often printed on her clothes. She occasionally acts as an envoy for House Baelish.

Arstan of Flea Bottom, The Red Keep

During the middle of the day a richly dressed man appears before the chambers of Lord Baelish, the gold chains and rings he wore on his neck and fingers gave him the indisputable look of a trader. And a trader he was, in secrets and death "Lord Baelish called for me and I have answered."
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

Lord Baelish's guards eye him up and down for any concealed weapons, after the inspection checks out the man is permitted to enter and three guards including Galt file in after him.

Petyr having previously heard Arstan approaching closed the book he was writing in.

"Ahh Arstan, it's good to meet you. Forgive the guards it's just my mother being paranoid. Especially around people like you." Petyr says slightly sarcastically"You are a dangerous man from what I've heard, a wanted man, a criminal and you are just who I'm looking for. Do you drink?" Petyr asks, the question almost rhetorical "In flee bottom they don't get vintages as good as this" Petyr uncorks a bottle of Dornish Red and pours two glasses, handing one to his guest before taking a sip and taking his seat "I have a problem Arstan. My family owns a tavern in this city and there is a soldier who thought he could drink from my stores, hire a room and trash the bed without paying for it. Unfortunately this man managed to escape and I have not seen him since. You can see why this is a problem for me. If you can help me track this man then I will reward you."

Arstan of Flea Bottom, The Red Keep

Arstan was used to be searched high and low for weapons, he was also skilled at concealing them although that was not his purpose today. Taking a seat besides Petyr he looked none like what the young Lord described him although he was, accepting his drink he took a sip of it "Not in Flea Bottom but I once stole two good barrels from Lord Jordayne's cellar, lasted me for a good week." He smiled, his teeth were surprisingly white and his faces were handsome clearly he had taken some care to appear his part "What a vile man this one!" Arstan smiled, he had done so more then a few times in the past "Tell me Lord Baelish, do you want me to track him or to kill him? I'm good enough at both."

"Ahh well there's plenty more good wine for you if you continue to act in my service." Petyr takes another sip "Yes, he was a bad investment and I hate bad investments. I want you to arrange an accident for him Arstan, bringing him back here would only cause further trouble for me. A slip over a balcony will solve my problem just fine, but you have the freedom to get rid of him however you want, this being your trade I imagine you can be quite inventive." Petyr smirks

"As for the subject his garb indicated that he was in the service of House Cave of Claw Hollow, the man looked to be a levy soldier of his as for whether he is a knight I do not know. He introduced himself to those around the tavern as Lewys of Claw Hollow. He had a broach in the shape of a fish eating a lion. I can give you 1500 dragons now and another 1500 once you bring that broach to me. Make sure you cover your tracks, I don't want this being traced back to me."

"He is already dead." Setting his wine on the table he rose and made to leave "M'lord, I am but a simple merchant, never would they connect such a heinous murder to you."

Ryella and Petyr are catching up when Marwyn Baelish enters the room.

    "Uncle." says Petyr

"Father." Ryella stands and runs to hug her father

"I've missed you two." says Marwyn, his face more weathered than the last time they had all seen each other

*Marwyn takes a seat and the three catch up on what they have been doing in the years since King Robert's Coronation*

"And you Petyr, Master of Coin? Who knew that my nephew would make it to the Red Keep but it is a dangerous place you must take care of yourself." cautioned Marwyn

"Yes the capital is a dangerous place but I think I can handle myself, Ryella has become accustomed to life in the capital too."

"I see that, I mean to ask you Ryella, will you come home with me to Midlor Point? Now that our family is lordly finding you a husband is important."

    "Hmm"

"Actually Ryella, I was about to ask you before Uncle Marwyn joined us if you would be my spymaster, you are the only person I can trust in this city and you are an intelligent person just like your mother."

"Spymaster?" Ryella looks at her father "I would love to Petyr. What do you think father?"

"You are a grown woman now Ryella, it is time you made your own choices. If this is what you want than I will support your decision. But you two must look after each other as well. You are family."

    Petyr and Ryella agree.

"And what will you do father?"

"I'm getting older and I'm not as quick as I was ten years ago, I think my days as a sellsword in Essos are over. Perhaps it's time I settled down a bit. This place is dangerous and I don't want to leave you two here. Andar is busy ruling over his keep so he can't watch over you, I would consider joining the Kingsguard but that means I would spend more time watching the King than you two. I will try to join the Gold Cloaks, I hear they are low on numbers and at least I will be able to make the streets safe for you two."

"Who'd have thought you'd go for a gold cloak uncle. I wish you the best of luck though."

*The three continue to talk for quite some time until they all decide to go and eat dinner together at Baelish Bedrooms.*
