    Default noobish questions

hi all i started playing stainless steel and got some questions about game.

1-i am playing litvanhia and i had crusade on me at turn 27 and somewhat i repelled all of their armies by princesses and ambush attacks to kill enemy general.and crusade fail however i am at war with most catholics and they never make peace with me. how can i make peace with them using commands or something?my 10+ star diplomat can even do too.
2-how marriage system works? i usally give KingsAuthority trait to select my next heir (hidden trait) however most of prince's son never marry.
3-how to take tittles back from generals? (like lord of york )
4-ai is building cities larger too fast.even their smaller settlements become fortress and large city very fast.how can i slow that down?

    thanks for help.

2- In my experience marriage proposals and child births occur less if you already have a large royal family. I decline offers to adopt people into my royal family so that my main bloodline stays strong and have children/marriage proposals. I recruit Generals instead from fortresses.

3 - If you want to take the title from the Lord of York, merge his unit with the General you wish to transfer it to. Click and drag the Title from the Old Lord of York to the portrait of the New lord of York. The Old Lord of York will obtain a trait the next turn "stripped of titles" and will lose significant loyalty. Do it again and he will be even more mad.

You're welcome, also I forgot to mention that if you have 2+ titles on a General and you take one from him, he will not lose loyalty because he still retains a title. You can also exchange titles without a loss in Loyalty so long as when you click End Turn, he has a title still.

Whether or not an AI faction will be ready to make peace with you depends on a number of factors. The more enemies a faction has, the more likely it is to make peace with you. Also, there seems to be a random factor - on a given turn, a faction will be likely to make peace, on another it will prefer to go to war. If a faction wants to make peace, they will even offer something in return - maybe a little money - instead of asking for further benefits. So you should have your diplomats check every turn whether a faction wants to make peace. However, making peace with many factions after a crusade has been called against you is tedious. You should avoid such crusades and the diplomatic setbacks it conveys at all costs.

Can I just piggyback on this with a quick question: I am playing as the Byzantines and a jihad just got called as Constantinople, how can that happen? I though jihads were only to reclaim Muslim territory and they have never taken Constantinople (both in game and at this point historically, I believe it's like 1170 or so)

The tale of Legio IV Flavia Felix: After cowardice during the Revolt of 69-70 AD the IV Macedonian was reconstituted and renamed IV Flavia Felix, or "lucky legion" signifying its luck at not being dishonorably disbanded.

Jihads and Crusades can be called against certain specific cities. I dont remember which file designates this. I do know that you can only call crusades against pagan and muslim factions. Jihads can only be called against christian and orthodox, I think.

Oh okay it's an inconvenience haha I've taken Bulgaria and slit of Hungary and Anatolia so I'm doing pretty well and built up defenses in Constantinople to deal with the invaders unfortunately as soon as they laid siege I got hit by plague so probably gonna lose the city at least for a bit

I'm pretty sure the file that decides the targets is descr_regions in SS6.3/DATA/WORLD/MAPS/BASE.

    example

    Constantinople_Province
    Constantinople
    byzantium
    Greek_Rebels
    118 131 33
    crusade, jihad, Constantinople, wonder1, wonder2, byzantium, horde_target
    5
    6
    religions { catholic 0 orthodox 95 islam 2 pagan 2 heretic 1 }
