Default MTW2 is like a film

this game is extraordinarry, i was not playin it, but watchin it like a spectacular film; pressing Pause every three seconds to try understand this mess!

the only shame is that there are way too many flags, which is so real but they are held by man but standing above them which is not normal. i hope there will be flag barreres in the game so i can remove all the banners and still reconize them from a far distance.

as it was too laggy, i coulnd see properly what was goin on, please tell me that the ''units fleeing'' is modified, that these are no longer just runnin and gettin killed without at lease fighting a lil bit back ?

    thank for the infos lads

If you mean routing when 1 second after clashing, then yes its fixed..CA officially announced it in their last blog.

He probably means after-rout kills, in RTW routing men never fought back while in MTW they did (only a bit, of course)

No, if you're running away from something and that thing is about to kill you, you'll turn and fight until you can resume your retreat, if you don't, you're suicidal....

Well if the routing unit is sorrounded by hostile forces, this routing unit will fight till death...That's why sometimes you see the flag turning red, instead of white.

From what I can tell in the demo, they're jello after routing like in RTW.

You can still run away and wave your sword at something, even if it would be hard to hit someone.
With some luck, the routing person could still strike a attacker.

I cant understand you guys complaining about elephants whith cannons and thinking its cool
that the whole game is so hollywoodish that its more important than gameplay.

agree with you on the banners... way too much clutter!! also, the dead bodies [which looks good in close] is not such a good thing when you are far away in sprite mode... maybe the preferences file will let us turn off the banners but i doubt that it will solve the dead bodies...

I like the banners personally, but i dont blame low visibility becoue of banners, level of detail is muvh higher than rome, units and terrain..i wish there was button to slow down battle, not just pause, so I could fully enjoy finishing moves......probably in full game there will be option for takeing flags out i guess, or just lowering how many you want :hmmm:

You already can disable the flags/banners.

I hated the fact that units routed so easily in RTW, so much infact that i edited all unit morale to last longer while fighting. I hope that more units in me2tw last longer and fight to the death before routing and getting completely mowed down by the enemy.

I also like the banners in the game it gives a more authentic look and feel, unlike the flashing banners in rtw that disappeared when you panned the camera close to them. Would be nice to see an actual standard bearer holding a flag, especially in the generals unit atleast.

in the 1st version Shogun TW ( i don't remmember the name) , the routing army did fought back, really hard, i still remmember i used to chase them down with the yari calvary, and once, after chasing some warrious monks , the calvary lost half of their unit, it seem at that time, the players didn't really like it ( cuz the calvary were damn expensive ), maybe that's why CA fixed it in Mongol Invasion , MTW,RTW,etc...
i wouldn't check out the M2 demo ,so i don't know how come in M2
