    Default Thracian AOR Units

I've noticed a couple of weird things about Thracian AOR units. I don't think it qualifies as a bug, so I decided to post a thread about it instead of a bug report. Mainly, there are some odd differences between the Thracian units you can recruit in Thracia as opposed to the ones you can recruit in the Bosporus.

Starting with the warriors: in Thracia you can recruit "Thrakioi Pezoi" (Thracian Warriors), who have rhompaias that are damage 18, initiative 3, deadliness 1. In the Bosporus you can recruit a unit that looks almost identical. Their weapons and bucklers are the same, but their armor is slightly different on a few men in the unit; they're called "Thrakes Rhompaiaphoroi" (Thracian Rhompaia-men), and their rhompaias are damage 20, initiative 2, deadliness 1. Aside from that, their melee defense and a few other stats are somewhat different than the other unit. Of course, this isn't a bug, but there isn't much to visually differentiate these two units that explains their different stats.

Also their names bring me to the next units: the peltasts. In Thracia you can recruit "Thrakioi Peltastai," and in the Bosporus you can recruit "Thrakes Peltastai." They look identical and have slightly different stats (and their recruitment cost is very different), but the issue is more with their names. I don't know ancient Greek, so I don't know if "Thrakioi" or "Thrakes" is correct grammatically, but I assume one of them is wrong.

And one other thing: Why is it that you can only recruit Thracian Heavy Peltasts in the Bosporus, not in Thracia? They're better than any of the peltasts you can recruit in Thracia itself, but you can only get them in the Bosporus, even though they're a "Thracian" unit. Maybe this is intentional too, but it doesn't make much sense as it is, without any explanation.

Please let me know if there's something I'm missing here that might explain these differences. Thanks!

And while I'm at it, I'll quote a previous post I made about the Cordinau Orca (Scordisci Elite Infantry) since this thread seems like a more appropriate place for that post than the bug report thread.

So - maybe it's okay that they're recruitable in Thrace, but they should definitely be recruitable in the Singidun region at least. I don't think it's accurate that the AOR units for Pannonia are all "Alpine" units. Well, the faction rosters in that region probably aren't accurate either, but that's an issue with vanilla too. The Breuci, Scordisci, and Eravisci (and Tylis too) should probably incorporate more Illyrian, Dacian, and Thracian unit types, but I guess only Tylis is playable anyway so it's not a big deal. Maybe if the dev team ever overhauls Tylis they could add a few of those units to the Pannonian factions too.

Cimmeria has been reworked, Odrysian Kingdom hasn't. I guess this explains the differences which you state.

Maybe, but I'm talking about AOR units; I noticed this when playing a campaign as Macedon. Unless of course the AOR units were just taken from the rosters of existing factions, then that makes sense.
