Default Retraining troops after each reform

I really thought this was already implemented, but it seems not. After each reform, each unit should be able to be "retrained" to the newer version of itself (e.g early hastati to late hastati, or early pedites extraordinarii to late pedetes extraordinarii). It's a simple database input, and would make players like me happy, who don't want to have to repurchase units again and delete ones with lots of experience.

can you guide me to where it is done so i can make the submod...or do it yourself?

I mean the actual change in the DB tables

I would do it myself but don't have the time. It should be in the units table, and you just link each unit's ID to the unit ID that should logically follow it. Hope that helps!

DeI's reforms are done through a script. They don't use the tech tree at all, so there's no way to do unit upgrades through the DB table you're referencing. Maybe CA will throw a bone, but unless DeI attaches upgrades to a tech, or they find some other way, it's not possible.

I was under the belief that this wasn't something that -could- be implemented the way DeI is set up with the reforms.
