Default A feast on the Eyrie

Long tables lay before the Lord's dais, scent of fine meals and drinks fill the Hall of the Eyrie. Jon sits on his weirwood throne, happy and smiling. Next to him were the newest additions for his Household, the young Darrys, and important high lords as Lord Royce, who was invited. Everyone on the Eyrie had a place today in the feast. Servants ran around, serving wine or bringing more food. Fine and skilled bards and musician play lovely songs, many about the Vale, its beauty and its Lords.

ooc: Everyone in the Vale are invited.

The Darrys arrive at the feast and Symon and Lyman both take seats at the High table, as befits their status as High Lords. However, they leave many open seats between them and Lord Jon, to allow vassals of the Vale to take the seats immediately beside their Lord Paramount.

    OOC: Lysa is at KL

Jon sipped Gold Arbor from his golden goblet. And turned to the Darrys.

"Symon, Lyman, tell me, what has happened since I left Darry? How have my "dear" father-in-law treated you? I suppose he only requested the surrender and demanded some ransoms or a prove of your renewed loyalty. He insisted few times about the you being tied with blood with him"

Symon shakes his head slowly. "He left Brynden in Riverrun to do the talking. When I arrived he was amiable enough, calling multiple times on our family ties, but as soon as we truly got to discussions of business, he demanded ridiculous sums of me, to the tune of nearly fifty thousand Dragons, which he should well know we cannot afford after the recent events of the war. Darry is none to wealthy in the first place, you understand."

    Lord Jon nodded:

"Your Lord Paramount is abusing of you while my treatment of Lord Mooton was fairly different, his seat unharmed and his belongings were fully returned to him after the war. And no kin between us, but actually honor. Nothing is as high as honor for an Arryn"

Symon smiled slightly, "Your house words, are they not? I must say, I am glad that you are willing to take members of my family into your household. The more Darrys that are free of the Riverlands the better." He lowered his voice, "I do not trust the lord Hoster further than I can throw him, and he is a very robust man."

Lord Andar, Lady Alayne, Master Petyr and Ryella all enter the room and take a seat. Petyr waves to Lord Arryn as a high lord approaches him to draw their attention away quickly. Marwyn would have attended too but he was already far away. Given the insignificance of their House they have no choice but to sit far away from the Lord Jon and mingle amongst the lower lords of The Vale. Lord Andar doesn't complain however he is thankful to even be at the feast.

Sometime during the feast Master Petyr approaches Ser Nestor Royce and his daughter.

"Good to see you again Ser. The war has settled down and I believe it is finally time for us to speak about organising a dowry for your daughter and a marriage for her into House Tully. What say you?"

OOC: Sorry for the delay. I had completely forgotten about this thread. Also, there's no Nestor Royce, only Lord Edwyn so we can RP that it is his daughter instead."

"A dowry. If you wanted a dowry for my daughter's hand in marriage then you should have negotiated one when we set the marriage Master Baelish."
    said Lord Edwyle.

OOC: Ok, Edwyn it is then.

IC: "I would have my lord but you (OOC: Nestor) suggested that we wait until the war was finished before negotiating the finer details of the marriage. Given that you will be marrying into the House of a Lord Paramount the dowry should be substantial." Petyr lowers his voice a little and tries to make it so that only Edwyn can hear "I'm sure you know that the Arryns and Tullys were at each others throats too over the Darry incident, given how fragile the Kingdom is it could erupt into war at any time. If The Vale is to withstand the war we must keep our alliances strong and the Tullys close. Your daughters marriage will help with keeping Arryn and Tully on good terms."

OOC: Let's stir the pot a little bit and worsen the relationship between Arryn and Tully. This should lead to some good RP.

"Marrying into a Lord Paramount only deserves a substantial dowry if my daughter is marrying the Tully heir. You never did tell me who she would be married off to?" said Lord Edwyn.

OOC: I'm all for stirring the pot but it serves Petyr's best interests at this time to keep The Vale strong.

IC: "It can be either Lord Hoster or Edmure. Lord Hoster commanded me to find a dowry price and then he would make the decision with obviously the higher the dowry the greater chance there would be of marrying the heir. If you were to marry to Edmure Tully, would a sum of 100,000 Dragons be a suitable dowry for you?"
