Problem installing TATW

Hello, guys. I have a problem. When I try to install Third Age Total War mod, my computer freezes. I can install the 3.1 patch, but this is not possible for 3.0 and 3.2. I would appreciate if you help me.

It is unlikely that your computer freezes because of a (faulty) TATW install. I would say there is something wrong in your computer configuration (hardware/drivers/windows) that perhaps is triggered by the TATW install. It's almost impossible to tell what exactly is wrong, even if you would have provided (a lot) more information about your hardware and software.

There is one thing I don't understand however. You can install the 3.1 patch but not 3.0 and 3.2.

3.0 is not a patch but the full version of the mod. It consists of two large exe files (part 1 and 2 together: 3,58 GB). Without a 3.0 install a 3.1 install can't be succesful. Furthermore, you don't really need 3.1 because all it's content are also in the 3.2 patch.

When does it freeze: At the start of installation process, or, at some random % ? There are big files which need to be installed for this mod ( it is a big mod, 6.9 GB heavy.. ), ans, some users experienced even half an hour delay during the installation..

I do also have a problem installing TATW, more precisely: With the patch 3.0 part 1 of 2. The installation stops and it says that the file elf_walls_normal.texture would contain invalid data. Another run of the installation programme doesn't solve the problem. I downloaded the patch from moddb. Do you know this error? Is there a way I can fix it or another site where I can download the patch? The part 2 of 2 though works.

It would be great if one of you could help me!

It means you got a corrupt download..Re download that part which gives you this error message, and, during downloading don't use Internet for anything else, and don't do some multitasking like play games or something similar.
