Default Divide and rule: the purging of Dorne

With Elia dead, there was nothing in Rors way. He was the prince of Dorne. The fact that he shared this title with his twin brother Tristayne, or the secret known only within the family that the true prince had not even been Elia but Dalziel who was now the disinherited Minotaur... Of all, this was nonsense and minor distraction for the Cyvassian. No, as far as he and the world at large was concerned, Rors Nymeros-Martell was prince and master of all Dorne.
Like his father he would brook no opposition.
On his return from King's Landing there were pressing matters. Three great Houses had failed him during the war. They had been key in gaining ground in the Stormlands, or rather would have been had they acted with the required vigour and conviction of loyalty or the proper measure of fear of Rors' wrath.
His plan had not been to win the war but to lash scars into the back of the Stormlands. As it was only a minor foothold and a forgettably weak attempt to assault Storm's End had been committed.
It did not escape the Dornish people that two of the three Houses that had slowed and thereby sabotaged Rors' strategy were his kin: his mother's House the Daynes and his cousins' House the Yronwoods. The past century had taught that a prince must have an iron hand against highborn kin that covet the Sun Throne. "So be it, defiance shall be met with retribution and stern resolve." He personally proclaimed to the people. "Houses Allyrion, Yronwood and Dayne will in their entirety henceforth reside at Ghaston Grey for the term of their natural lives. And thus be warned all you that stand against the Sun." He raised his hand to the fluttering amber banners emblazoned with the Dornish sun that blew in the desert winds above the palace castle of Sunspear.
Now, he thought to himself, to deal with these Essosian occultists...

    Rebellion

These three Houses rise in rebellion rather than go quietly into captivity. They hold significant lands and power and won't go, as entire Households, into prison without a fight.
