first step

i have never modded yet but ive started, um, researching, on how to do it. what would be the first step i should probably do in making a full mod

first decide which aspect of game suits u .
ie coding ,mapping,skinnig ,modelling.

then read tutorials of resprctive aspects.
follow them u will learn bsic of modding .:

When you've decided where your skills are, join an existing team for a while, lots of people jump in at the deep end and find the amount of work much larger than they thought, being part of a team will give you a much better perspective of the vast undertaking modding can be.
