Default Ingenious casting and actors born to play their roles

Some actors/actresses were simply born to play the roles they were cast in, thanks to the choice selection of the producers, directors, and casting panel of any given movie. For instance, the genius in having Tim Curry play Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers (1993) or Pennywise the Dancing Clown in Stephen King's It (1990). Tell us all who you think were the superlative best actors for their roles, to the point that it seems the stars were aligned to have that person play their part (whether it be a leading or supporting role).

I'm assuming we're going to get a whole lot of Heath Ledger comments.

Also, I specifically did not include a poll in this, making it a more open-ended question, seeing how it would anger many who believe that anyone left out of the poll would nullify the thread as useless. We wouldn't want that, would we?

Buddy Ebsen as Jed Clampett and Irene Ryan as Granny in the original Beverly Hillbillies.
    Sylvester Stallone as Rocky.
More recently Gustaf Skarsgard as Floki in Vikings....

....and the the absolute born to play the role award goes to: Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. IMO he owns GoT.

Whoever played Hitler in Der Untergang,
    Christopher Waltz in Inglorius Basterds
    Charles Dance as Tywin.
    John Hannah as Batiatus
    Jensen Ackles as Dean
Sarah Wayne Callies as incredible annoying slut mom

There's a bunch of others, I gave up when I realized how many I could list. This could be a long thread.

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. And Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. They're probably the best on-screen representations of their characters I could have thought of and unlike a lot of the other characters we see in comic movies it will be hard to see them replaced, or hard to imagine someone else playing the roles.

And to Heath Ledger's Joker in Dark Knight you can add Daniel Day Lewis playing Daniel Plainview in There Will Be Blood, or Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York.

Not for me. Seemed a bit unlikable.

I always think of Wolverine as he was in X-Men the Animated Series, short, gruff, confrontational and had a big chip on his shoulder, reckless with the rage of a wild animal. Hugh while a great actor never did it past the looks, probably more of the writing of the char than his acting but to me he is not Wolverine, just a pretty guy actor with cool hair who does not look like he smokes a cigar.

Could say Daniel Day Lewis in a number of movies but I will choose my favorite one There Will Be Blood. One of the few movies I could watch over and over again because of how many excellent parts he had. A movie that shows a man in his truest form, no messy love story to tie up, no insert ________ villain, not an underdog the whole film only to rise up and overcome at the end. Unfiltered look at what mankind is capable of.

The guy who plays Ragnar on Vikings.

Peter Dinklage? Tyrion Lannister? He's a great actor but his accent is intolerable. Warwick Davis would have been much better: he has a similar acting style to Peter Dinklage, he looks much more like his GoT siblings, and most importantly he doesn't sound like he went to Dick Van Dyke's school of accents along with Johnny Depp, Frodo and Anne Hathaway. I didn't even know that Jaime Lannister and Joffrey were not English until about a week ago when I heard their real accents.

    Warwick Davis as a goblin

The best actors for their part imo are:

Aragorn from LotR: the guy that played Aragorn
John Cleese: everything John Cleese has ever acted in on TV and in film.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
