    Icon4 About siege weapons

    I feel there is an issue with siege weapons. I remember hearing that in DeI there is a feel of siege weapons such as Ballistae is used as "siege" weapons, not field weapons, and I can understand that. What I do have concerns with are two things though, I'll discuss them below:

    1) Unit caps
    At the momement you are only allowed to have one Ballistae per army. The problem I have with this is the lack of destruction you can cause with only one. Around city level 3 cities get their own siege weapons and at level 4 cities get Ballista towers (miniguns of certain doom) one sigle unit of ballistae is not enaugh to counter these in a siege. You need to be able to plan a course within the city be destroying a few selected towers.

    2) Fire rates for non siege weaons, or rather field weapons.
    I am totally ok with the slow fire rate for the likes for the ballistae, I cannot say the same thing about the Scorpion. The scorpion is an anti unit weapon, it's a field weapon, not made for destroying buildings. Cuurently it has no use as you only have time to shoot like 3 salvos before a chatrging army has arrived. I would suggest giving the scorpion a higher fire rate so that it can be more effective as an anti personal weapon.

    I always wondered whether it would be possible to make all that heavy artillery only buildable when besieging, like siege towers and everything else.

    from my understanding the ai does not know how to use them when this is done
