Mercenaries question

Does the elven or dark elven faction gets any mercenaries during the campagin ?

I've seen the Dark Elves hire the Lustrian Amazons once. The HE don't get anything as far as I'm aware.

It's a concept that makes sense, and would help both factions in their isolated positions.

But both factions don't have a very rich history in hiring masses of sell swords. Both of them are elegant and feudal-like people, using class systems with nobles and peasants. So considering the elves common personality of underestimating others, and sometimes even considering themselves higher beings, its not a first choice.

Not only that, but mercenaries are typically dirty and rough, and mostly lower class. Having a high class lord have peasants fight his battles for him wouldn't go smoothly with the rest of their society.

same question different faction, do kislev get mercenaries or is it an ostland type deal for them?

Being professionals, mercenaries are not typically dirty and rough, and lots of nobles (usually second sons) became mercenaries.

so i just found out kislev do get mercs because i got me some..golfag is on my team, but im not able to recruit his unit anywhere. is that a bug or something else, because i also noticed he had a metal mario in his bodyguard unit

yeah i have and i can recruit other mercs no problem, its just golfags guys that arent showing up..he also has a regular kislev guy portrait instead of a unique portrait other mercs have

Strange. They should show up and his Portrait is a normal Kislev dude as there is no portrait of Golfag I'm afraid
