Not able to make entries into tables in PFM

I am not having this problem but a couple of friends that I'm helping with modding are. Apparently they are not able to make new entries into tables relating to unit creation and when they click on an entry to change it simply gives them a dropdown list of all the vanilla units.

I am using PFM 3.1.8 with and updated schema and they are using PFM 3.2.1 which is the newest version. Does anyone else know how to fix this problem?

You have to create a new mod. You can't just alter the original game files. Export the files you want to change and import them to your mod.
