I just wanted to say that this is a fantastic idea. RSII is one of the best mods to ever have come out of this forum and Im glad to see that its legacy is continuing on.

Ok, now those are some first draws of our modification logo and signatures. In future we might be even renamed into Roma Surrectum III: Authentic Ancient World (request still pending), but for now those will do a good job for us.

I consider this thread to have suit his purpose and going to close it down. HOWEVER keep the artwork coming guys. We are still looking for artwork, an official Authentic Ancient World logo and some nice signatures for variety. We are also looking for UI designers and more. Keep providing your content to us and the entire community here.

For everyone, that doesn't know it yet. We have access to a permission group, respectively a developers forum. People who are interested to get involved in our development process or looking for reference points are welcome to join our permission group by clicking on their "Account" page and than go to "Permission Groups" and look for the "Developer Forum: Authentic Ancient World". Hit apply (AND it is highly advisable to send a mail to me before you do so since there is no automatically generated message that notifies the admins of those forums)! Thats all.

I don't think the soundtracks should be based on Rome 1. Nostalgia is great, yes, but it is a different game after all. If you can get your hands on brand new tracks then that would be the best.

I just made the first signature and altered his draws a bit to suit my vision of Authentic Ancient World.

Well, we are not focusing on bringing back RTW music, but RSII music and such. So our motivation was not to revive nostalgia, but to bring in music and tracks that actually represent the ancient times. Rome II native tracks feel a lot like modern day movie composition and sound so much like tracks coming right out from shogun. At the end however its a matter of taste I think. That's also why we will make this music update optional, respectively a module.

And the RSII, RTR and EB tracks are real masterpieces when it comes to authentic and representative music. I think you will like it. Of course we are trying to get our hands on brand new tracks, but those will most probably be released with updates replacing older compositions step by step. Since they have first to be composed xD
